Just when I thought I was settled on POR...?

Thought I had my mind set on POR. But now it appears that a special offering will be made by Disney for the times I'm going. I was already planning on getting a package so there will be no additional cost getting that. So what would you do?

#1 Keep POR and just get a better deal on it? I've had my mind made up for months that we would have to get a mod and POR would be it.

#2 Go for WL, now that there's a deal it's time to upgrade!

#3 Go for WL for 4 nights and AKL for 3.

what is the special offer? When are you planning on going? We're in a similar situation. I settled for POR knowing that a moderate is the most practical way to for us.

My advice - Make a reservation now for whatever you'd be willing/able to do if there were no discount at all. When the discount is announced, you may not be able to get in, and it would be best to already have reservations for the amount that you are prepared to pay.

Yes, I do already have reservations at POR Nov 15-22. So that has been taken care of several weeks ago.

I'm referring to the special that is being indicated that will happen on Mousesavers. Keeping my figures crossed it will be something that I can use. And if I can maybe I'll want to upgrade. That's my big questions now. Just when I thought all my planning was done!

Right now I'm paying $2400 for POR package 7 nights, 7 day hopper for 2 adults, 1 child and dining package for all.

So if this special comes out that I could get the above package put at WL or AKL would you get that. Or would you just save money and keep the POR package?

Whatever you decide, we LOVED PO when we stayed in June. I don't think you can go wrong there.

Keep PO and save the money for souvieners. PO is a great place. Either resort. We just returned from POFQ and had a blast and loved the resort, we visited POR a few times and it was nice being able to use both resorts facilities.

We've stayed at POR and visited AKL. We all thought POR was more beautiful and fun! Use the extra money you'll save for special dinners or souvenirs.

We looked into AAA discount and was thinking about using that if nothing else came available. However, we're using a TA and you can't book a AAA package through TA unless they're with AAA. So I'm banking on this mysterious new promotion that might be available on Thurs.

Still undecided on what I will do. My DH is absolutely no help! I guess I'm gonna have to wait and see what the price difference is between the options. I can't wait for Thurs to get here!

The only thing that bothers me about POR is all the buildings are seperate. I don't know if I will like leaving my room to go outside to get to the Lobby, Eating etc.

We booked through a TA, and had originally used a AAA discount, until the free dining was offered. She advised that the AAA discount can be used on the room only, and not on a package, so you have to get your room and tix seperately. If nothing else comes up, I'd at least use AAA, your TA should be able to do that for you.

True, but I also want the dining plan and you can only get the discount if you go through AAA. Thanks!
