Just what is a "Mystery" pin

A mystery pin is a pin that all of a sudden had been release without any advanced notice. It is always an LE and usually 1000 or less (there have also been 1200, 750, 500, etc). People rush to the Parks once they are released and scarf them up like Mystery pins!?!
