Just wanted to take a moment to thank Wayne our wonderful, ever helpful Moderator

Thank you for the kind words but whilst its always nice to be appreciated this site will always be bigger than just one person or a group of moderators, every single person on here makes this site what it is.
We are very fortunate to have some great members with a lot of experience and knowledge, no-one will ever know everything about Florida, what I don't know about villas or the Lynx bus service(or many more subjects) someone else is always there to help.
Then just as important are the questions, would be a rather boring place without those.:goodvibes
For me its just a privilege to be part of this community, worth every hour I put into it.:goodvibes

I just have to say, to anyone who feels they ask too many questions, without those questions, we have no threads.
This is so true. I never understand forums where regulars admonish others for not using the search function. What does it matter if the same question is asked over and over? The whole point of a discussion forum is that members want to talk about the subjects they're interested in. The clue's in the name!

I'm not as active here as I once was. Whilst I'm happy to trot out the same well-aired stuff over and over, I'm sure it gets a bit stale for everyone else. I sort of feel I've had my say over the years and that I should stand back a bit and let others have theirs. Of course, with two such great moderators onboard, it's easy for me to take more of a back seat these days. :teeth: Wayne really goes above and beyond with the help he provides here and that's why he was a shoe-in when a mod vacancy opened. His dedication to this forum and its members is nothing short of astounding. And Kenny's creativity in keeping the boards interesting and fun is the perfect complement to Wayne's unparalleled cost-saving savvy.

As others have said, every person here contributes to this little community of ours. The moderator role is not that of all-knowing guru, rather one of fostering an environment where everyone feels encouraged to share and join in. We're not the 'bosses' or the 'leaders' and I, for one, am very well aware that there are plenty of people here who augment these boards far more than I. And that's how it should be.

I have to agree completely with this thread - not just Wayne but all the mods and regular posters do a lot to assist us with our holidays :) so...THANK YOU one and all !

Exactly my sentiments.

When I went to DLP the place was very helpful indeed and no doubt will help me again in my quest to get to Orlando in the next year or two and will no doubt have loads of questions.

I echo the sentiments of others, thanks Wayne especially for sound advice on money amongst other things and to everyone else for all your helpful suggestions.

I have lots more questions too as I move into the detailed planning stages so beware! :thumbsup2 All you help is soooooooooooo appreciated.

i have made alot of friends on these boards, have only ever seen 1 nasty thread in the 5ish years i have been on here, and do feel very welcome, even if its weeks between visits:rotfl:
as an oldie:lmao:, its nice to see new members come and flourish, and enjoytheir holidays thanks to silly tips that we also learnt from someone else.

I have to agree completely with this thread - not just Wayne but all the mods so...THANK YOU

I completely agree the Mods on the UK boards are brilliant!

I would love to say that Wayne has saved me a small fortune with all of his money saving tips and bargain finds but it wouldnt be true. He has however managed to find away of me going to WDW far more frequently for the same amount of money which is even better

I stumbled across the dis when i was planning my WDW wedding years ago and the help and advise i got was invaluable. Ive joined other discussion forums but for any question or problem the Dis is my first port of call as its far nicer than any other alternative out there. Other forums just dont come close.

This is a belated thank you to Wayne. Our last 2 trips we took my DS's girlfriend who was under 18 both times. Any way we used Wayne's parental consent form template. The 1st trip we didn't need to show it. But last trip the Imigration Officer asked if we had a consent form. I handed it over, the stern officer studied it for 2 minutes. My heart was pumping, then suddenly he looked up and said," That is the best Parental consent form I've ever seen, and wished everybody else would use that format" At that moment I thought , Thank you wayne.:thumbsup2

I am glad it was OK for you. Thankfully we were never asked to show it when we took DS's friend so its nice to have some feedback and know it was accepted.

A big thumbs up to all the UK Moderators who do an awesome job at both helping people and keeping us tearaways in line! ;) :thumbsup2

However an also equally big thumbs up to everyone who posts in this Community and who are lovely and helpful and friendly. It truly makes it a pleasure to come visit here and definitely shouldn't be taken for granted. You guys are all awesome! :)
