This is my first post but I just returned from my first trip to WDW with my
children and my first trip in 20 years. I spent many hours researching on the
disboards before I left and all of your ideas helped us greatly during our stay.
Thank you so much. We stayed at POFQ for 6 nights so hopefully I may be able to help someone too. Thanks again!

I realized how valuable the Dis was last spring before our July trip. I learned soooo much and I have been to Disney SEVERAL times... the Dis really taught me a whole bunch of stuff about a place I already thought I knew. I have grown to think of my fellow Dis'ers like family. So your welcome, and WELCOME!! glad your not lurking anymore! We are staying at POR for the first time this summer and I know that we can use the pool over at FQ, was it really crowded?

We swam only 3 times during our stay. Two times were first thing in the morning and it wasn't crowded but the slide and water fountains weren't turned on. I don't think they officially open the pool until 10am. We went one evening and it was crowded but we went to the side by the river and it wasn't bad at all. It's a beautiful pool. We were just at POR this morning to ride a surrey bike before we had to catch ME and it's a gorgeous resort. I picked POFQ because of the size for my DS7 and DS3 to walk but would've also stayed at POR. It's funny, I couldn't wait to register for Dis as soon as I got home. I've never posted on any board before so I think I was intimidated.

Thanks for the info on the pool. I think you just may be right about them not "officially" opening the pools until 10am. we'll be there the last couple of weeks of August, so I believe the crowds will be thinner then.

I understand your intimidation... I felt that at first, but as you can already tell there is nothing to really feel intimidated about. It has now become a part of my daily life. Even my husband notices if I haven't dis'ed for a while, he says I am going through withdrawel!!

Have you started planning your next trip yet? For me, and just about everyone else on the boards that is almost as much fun as being there!!

We haven't started planning our next trip yet but my DH kept watching that DVC show on the TV at WDW so maybe we'll look into that. I know the only way to recover from the low after any vacation is to start planning another one!

This is one of the nicest posts I have seen in awhile. It's great that you had a good time on your trip; you clearly deserve it. :wizard:
