Yes, but don't you also feel a need to relive your childhood memories and wouldn't that machine help you do that?

well......I didn't want to be a burden (need a humble smiley) but a machine would help. Also, I don't get out much so a new printer would be lovely, and a scanner to scan all my old negs and reprint them so I could scrap old pics....... oh, throw in a couple of dozen 12x12 scrapbooks as well

You know what I need, a scanner to scan my father's slides. My entire childhood is on slides and I have no pictures of me before the age of 11. And they are just soooo expensive to have converted to CD.

Sorry, I read through this entire post and I couldn't help myself. If anyone gets a pool boy, I expect an invitation to come by, sip on some iced tea, read a magazine and have HIM fan me!

Don't blame you a bit. Also, since MBs can be rather "impersonal," I'd be suspicious of her claims too.

Why is it that those who seek attention the most, often deserve it the least?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered if this were all true. I hate to sound cynical, but the fact is there are a lot of con men/women in this world. Everything she says may be the honest truth, but you have no way to verify this. If they ask again, I'd just say that I limit my charitable donation to local charities.

I can't imagine asking for stuff like that! I think it would be more reasonable to ask someone with that specific die to cut some out for her. How many pirate pages is she going to need to do?
