Just Waitlisted 2 BD Villa @ BC

I didnt think to ask CM on phone. We waitlisted and it is up to 7 days prior to travel date. Does that cause me to have a problem with exsisting OKW ressie those points being put into hold if BC miracously comes thru ( 30 days or less), or is that not considered a cancellation. I know I am borrowing 32 to stay there. I am now confused, and probably confusing you!!

If you told MS to borrow and cancel, you're fine. If you want to call to verify you did it "correctly" call. I hope it comes through for you, but I'm sure you'll have a great time where ever you're staying!

If your waitlist comes through 30 days or less from check-in, the points from your original reservation go into holding when that reservation is cancelled. Those holding points are then used to book the waitlisted reservation. If your waitlisted room requires the same or more points than the original reservation you will be OK because all of your holding points will be used for the new reservation. If the waitlisted reservation requires fewer points than the original, you will be left with some holding points.
