Okay...

I know there's been talk, I know the brochures are out, yadda yadda yadda.

That being said, I'm still kind of unclear and I've really never thought of doing anything that wasn't just straight forward.

With the DDP and DXDP, are 3-9 children able to order an adult meal? Curious if I could age up my infant for credits the rest of us could use.

If you are at a quick service they can order an adult meal. All of those credits are lumped together. At a table service they have to order on the kids menu. This is for the DDP. We have never used the DXDP. I am unsure how those work.

I think so, but in order to age up your infant to 3+, you have to pay for a park ticket then. We aged up our (at the time) 9 yr old DS to 10 during free dining because a kid's meal is completely insufficient for him. Only cost the $70 difference between child and adult park tickets because the dining plan was free.

Sorry to piggyback on your thread but it is kind of related. Going with my 8 year old in December. Could I pay OOP for any kid QS meals for him in same transaction as paying with DDP just for myself for a QS adult meal? might help stretch the credits a little bit.

Aging up an infant would require buying a park ticket. That won't usually make sense.

The brochure and all printed terms, conditions, and rules still state that children must order from the children's menu.

Quick service credits and deluxe credits have always been pooled. It has been the responsibility of the cashier/server to limit redemption of credits to the composition of the reservation. Recent reports say that they no longer enforce that restriction.

Yes you can always pay OOP for one or more and use DDP for others.

I'm DVC, so she won't need a park ticket.

I'm specifically referring to TS meals.

I've not seen anyone on REGULAR DDP being able to use a child's credit for an adult meal. DxDDP has had many, many reports of being told by CMs that the kids can order adult meals.

Thanks. The math might not even make sense, but I wanted to see what all the options were.
