Just turned my reservation over to Dreams Unlimited...

After making myself nuts for the past 10 days, trying to call CRO several times a day in hopes of there being availability at the Polynesian in a concierge room, I contacted Dreams and was honest with them and explained WHY I was considering handing my reservation over. Someone by the name of Dagny replied. So....I just emailed Dagny back, giving my reservation number, and all the other details.

Did I do the right thing? After the problems I had with a local Travel Agent back in 2001, I swore I'd never use one again, but I see so many excellent reviews of the DU agents that I figured this would be OK.

So now I have passed on the mission of trying to get us into a concierge room over to Dagny! And at the very least, if they can't get us into concierge, I can still give Dagny all of our PSs to make for us.

Tell me I've done the right thing by handing my reservation over!!!

Well SeaSpray I'm right along with you. I 've heard so many good things about DU, that I'm giving them a try. I hear wonderful things about Sue Ellen, and so far she seems very nice and helpful. Now I just have to put my type A personality on hold for a bit. I hope that's possible.

I think that I will be happy with DU. I already have AAA discount, so if I'm not able to get AP rate I'm still happy. And like you said Seaspray at least my PS's will be taken care of.

I think you made a wise decision.

I used Dreams for our first Disney trip in 2003 and I was very happy. I think you just saved yourself a lot of stress!

Big Thumbs Up for DU from me too!!

I used them the first time for our October 2003 trip, our Dec 2004 trip and will use them again for our Oct 2005 trip. Sue Ellen is my agent and is great. In fact, I've hear nothing but rave reviews from all the DU crew.

I really love the e-mail format and being able to log onto their site to review my reservation and itinerary as it is forming. I also really love not having to have the phone plastered to my ear for reservations and PSs.

As to 'planners' who don't like to relinquish things- you real aren't relinquishing much- keep with the planning but now you have a Disney Expert in your DU agent as a resource! I'd rather be planning then on hold on the phone!!

Welcome to the DU family!!! Yep, it's tough to give over that control. I just sit here, dying to know if Shirley is able to get me the resort I want at the price I want....and, she always has. So, while the rest of the people are sitting on the phones for those huge waits on hold, I'm just sitting here, chuckling and feeling pretty smug. You should be very happy with DU. They are a good group.

I LOVE DU!!!!!!!!! We used them for our Nov 2001 trip. It was a stressful trip, not sure if we would go through it with it after 9/11. But, it ended up being a fabulous vacation, and Tammy made it wonderful by holding my hand every step of the way during planning. We are going back in July and I didn't even think about it, it was a given that I would use them.

I also turned over my Poly concierge ressie to DU. I will admit I was a little nervous, but things transferred fine.

I won't be looking at PS's until September (unless we decide to try the Chef's table), so I can't comment on that. But I'm sure it will be fine

Thanks everyone! I feel good now about handing our reservation over to DU. It's great to see how many of you use and trust them

I only called CRO once today and that was early this morning before I emailed back to Dagny with all of our reservation info. So now I'll just wait...and wait....and hope to get an email from her saying she was able to get us a room in concierge

I also like the idea of using Dreams and supporting them since they're one of the sponsors of these boards

Huge control freak here and I trust DU with my plans! I can't even begin to tell you how hassle free the experience is! I have been with Beth at DU for three vacations, and after I hear back about July it will be four. I hav e been very pleased.
