We have been keeping our WDW trip for May a secret from our kids (20,14,11 and 2). They were thinking we were going at Thanksgiving and we moved it up to May. We had an Easter egg hunt and I put pieces of paper with words on them in the eggs. After they found the eggs, we had them figure out the puzzle. They were so excited about going so much earlier! Just wanted to post a few pics of our hunt and puzzle :thumbsup2
The hunt is on

Nope, you didnt miss Easter:rotfl:
We actually told the kids on my oldest dd's college Spring break. We were going to wait and do it at Easter, but I just couldnt wait anymore!!!! We told the kids we wanted to practice Easter egg hunting for our 2 year old so she would be ready (for Easter) in a few weeks:lmao:
Im so glad the cat is out of the bag and we can ALL talk excitedly about the trip- not just DH and I:cloud9::cloud9:
I love suprising them- for last years trip we told them at Christmas (and went in March). We put little Hawaiian trinkets and things in lots of small boxes for them to unwrap one at a time (we were staying at the Poly). The kids thought we were going to Hawaii, until they opened the box that held the Poly postcard a nice Diser picked up for me on their trip to the Poly. The last box held their countdown chain- which was nice and short (for us, we usually plan about a year out)-only about 75 links! They were SO shocked:yay:

We were going to surprise ours with our trip in June. We actually kept it a secret since January, but DD10 overheard me making the Pirates League ressies and asked a million questions.......so I gave in and told her to ask her dad!

Have a GREAT trip!!

very cool!
i am planning on doing that this easter for my kids... i was thinking of buying one of those blank puzzles at michael's and writing on it and then put each piece in an egg... after they find they eggs, they can put it together and see what is says...
the only problem is that they can't read yet! so maybe i will draw pictures or something... like a plane, the castle, mickey ears.. i think they will figure it out! i cannot wait to tell them!
