Just to clarify ME question

If we rent a car at the airport and we signed up for Magical express and have the yellow luggage tags but we drive from the airport to our resort we can still use and count on ME to take our luggage there correct?

DME is not a luggage only service, but people have reported they have gotten away with skipping DME and tagging their bags...... just isn't how Disney touts the system......
