Just to add more confusion to all the PIN code discussion

I have a ressie for May with a TA. Should I just let her know about the code and have her check on it?

Just a note on the code. I think we should stop spelling it out. Just in case it's not a public code.

This is strange, I looked online and could not find the dining listed anywhere. I swear it was there before.

I just called back and double checked my vacation info and it says DDP on it in their reservation system. Picking a higher priced resort ended up being $300 less than free dining was last year and yet we still have the dining plan. If I choose POFQ the package would be $2603 instead of $2300 ,so it's like getting the dining plan for $300 instead of $740 for our family. Free dining would be cheaper for a moderate resort than using this code. IF you stay deluxe it's impossible to pass up because I will never be able to get a price break like this ever again! DH really wanted to go cheaper this year :guilty: I don't know if I would like the POFQ as much as Poly for the savings:confused: .

This is not a public code, I went back and deleted it from my previous post earlier this AM after speaking with a CM. It is attached to the postcard pin and is used when guests who receive postcards want to make a ressie including dining. This was also mentioned by a previous poster.

Now I know with CRO CM's you tend to get different info depending on the CM you speak to, but this one also spoke with a supervisor to double check.
This is not posted as a public code on Mousesavers and we know they are very reliable....

We shall see....

I am going back and deletng this code from my post too.

Kaysmommie, where does your reservation say DDP. I can find it on mine.

I have gone back and deleted the code from my post. I did not realize that this was not a public code, so I do apologize for posting it. Unfortunately I have been quoted by another poster, so there is no way for me to delete that.

I just called and spoke w/ a CM. I inquired about pin codes for my household and she said I have none. I then asked her about this and she said I could use it. Then I asked her if it was public and she said "no, its attached to your household." I think she confused herself and she confused me. So I don't know if its a pin code or not, b/c my friend received a pin code and told me that it is numbers, not letters. Oh well, I have no clue? Just incase I went ahead and deleted it.

Yesterday they told me the code was only valid for May/June but we all know better than that LOL. So I called again today, and the CM I talked to really knew what she was doing. Dates are 12/9 to 12/16. Our first choice was my favorite -- CR, no discount available there. Sigh. I haven't been to the CR since Sept 05, haven't found availability or a discount there.

I asked about Poly, BC, and GF. Here's what was available with the discount for 12/9 to 12/16, for 7 nights, 1 day base ticket and dining for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant:

Poly LVC $3545
BC GV 2317
BC WV 2647
BC GVC 2884
GF GV 2600

Tough choice! Concierge at those prices were really tempting but I picked the Grand Floridian! We've never stayed there before but I've always wanted to.

Those that want to get the discount, keep trying if it didn't work for you the first time!

EDITED TO ADD: When I called, I actually asked if the code was available to me. She seemed to check something after taking my name, address, email, etc, and came back after about 15 seconds and started asking what resorts I was interested in. So maybe the code is available to many of us in the system???

So with this code not being public has anyone had issues with this happening in the past with Disney? Do they cancel the ressies?

Looks like at least 10 people on here have made them using the code mebeing one of them, is it just a waiting game to see what happens? :confused3

The codes - what they put in the computer to discount your reservations.

Pin codes are codes you need a pin # to use. When you call to use the pin, they have it in their computer under your household and match it up. If you verify you really are that person no need really to match up the pin. So you get a postcard (or not) with a pin letting you know you have access to a code. You call in and you may or may not be asked for the pin number, since they do have that in their system. Supposedly only if the code and pin show up in your 'account' can/will they book the code for you. Apparently they can override and put in the code which is why they dont allow the sharing of it....since then the cm's do it and Disney discounts to more people than they intended...then they get mad at boards who let the code be spread.

You can pm the person and ask them to use the edit function on their post and delete the code from the quote.

I just check my ressie online too (just made it this morning with the code) and the DDP is not listed on there. Anyone else having this problem beside the two posters above?

This is the first time I have ever looked online at my ressie so I'm not sure if it ever shows that... But mine does not have it listed.

Guess I'll call in a few days to double check

Boardwalk glitch last summer wasnt honored others have been. We just don't know. They listed so many rooms to be discounted at this rate. So it is a valid code albeit a private code... That part isnt a glitch. The 'glitch' is that more people have access to the code. Yet still only a certain number of rooms can be effected by it and they are rooms they had already decided were okay to sell at that rate. My feeling is that they could consider that not a big deal...knock on some wood here because if they consider it wrong it is up to them not my reasoning or anyone elses. If we got something we shouldnt have then we certainly cant be upset if they say hey...wait a minute we can't sell it to you at that price.

I have often heard of the on line reservation not showing DDP...I am not sure why but I wouldn't let this concern you too much at this point.

When the boardwalk glitch happened they did in fact call and said they would cancel the ressie or we could convert it to the correct price. That was a much bigger discount than this one is....I am not sure what they will do but they will notify you if they are going to revoke the offer.

I just called disney.. asked if the code was valid...

I told them I did not get an email, or a post card.

Can I still use this code?

YES

He said some people are getting the code from friends telling them or from finding it on line...

And asked again, can I still use it? It is not post card specific???

and he said YES again...

So I guess if you are concerned, call and ask if you can use it and is valid?

I was told by a CM that these are general codes that are good through 12/22/07 for a variety of dates. She could not specify what dates and just suggested trying a variety of them to find ones that worked. She stated that this is something new that Disney is trying- a code that is good for the whole year but only for a variety of dates. I checked for pin codes attached to my name but I had none. She let me use the following general codes.

ZFZ- is with dining
ZFY- is without dining

I was quoted 9/20-9/30 2 adults, 12 year old, 9 year old- 10 nights, 9 day hopper w/water w/dining $4141.11 w/o dining $3134.51. I put a hold on w/o dining and am still thinking about it.

I asked several times if this was a general public code and she stated yes.

I wanted concierge but was told it wasn't available with any of these discounts.

I just got my quote. Dec 9 to 16.
Contemporary Garden Wing, Garden View with dining and tickets for $3055.76.

Funny, I just asked for these exact dates and they didn't have anything at the CR available with a discount for me! Interesting!

There are as many CM's saying this is a general code as there are cm's saying it is a pin code!

Perhaps they sold out of Garden Wing rooms for those dates.

ETA: I thought I'd add that I already had an existing reservation for CR Garden Wing Garden View. When I called they only changed my check-in date from 12/8 to 12/9.
