Just to add more confusion to all the PIN code discussion

This whole discount thing is pretty confusing. It sounds like every CM has a different story. When I first called in I was told I had a pin. Then I found this code and booked. The next day when checking on the deal with the pin, Disney told me I had no pin and acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. They seem very confused over there.

2 different CM @ CRO told me they all got an email this am...

they are enforcing the pin code status (checking to see if it's associated w/your name) on all new ressies.

not sure what's up with the ones that were booked but, i was told that their audit dept is busy "verifying eligibility":confused3 ...

i did ask that they research my name to see if there were any associated with prior addresses; said they'd get back to me via email in a few days if indeed so.

good luck.

This is like riding a roller coaster. I'll keep my fingers crossed that my discount stays.

This is totally confusing...I called last night and the code worked fine for me booking at CR MK view for Oct. 4-7, but it did NOT seem like a good deal at all so I did not book. The CM told me that this code only gives you park hopper and water park options for free, no discount on the room. I asked her if I could use either of the codes for room only and she said no. THIS IS NUTS! It looks like they would have some sort of regulations to follow so that everyone would get the same answer. How can all of us get something different every time we call???!?!?!??!

FYI - If you used the code with the dining plan, I would call back to verify that dining is indeed on your ressie. I checked my ressie online and did not see dining on there. I just called back to see what the price would be if I took dining off of my package and the CM said that dining was not listed on my ressie. I gave her the lady's name that I booked my package with and explained to her that there is no way that the price on my reservation was without dining...that the price on Diney online was cheaper than mine if it didn't include dining. She put me on hold and came back to say that dining was on my ressie. So, everyone may want to double check just to verify that dining is on there. I am still a little nervous about it. Here is my quote without dining:

5 nights, standard view POFQ, 6 day hoppers (2a, 1c)

Total = $1,314.38

This breaks down as follows:

Room - $99 X 5 nights = $495(rate is $165 with 40% off)
Hoppers - $702
Tax (appx) - $117.38

Apparently, they are still letting the CM's use this discount code because I just called about 5 minutes ago. Maybe she didn't get the email :)

My quote with dining was $1,759.23. I am still going to be looking out for the fall discount codes that come out though.

Well, I just called again to give it another shot and the CM, Bethany, asked me where I got that code. I told her a friend had told me about it. She said that it is a PIN that has to be attached to your household and that it is not attached to my household. No luck for me! I just thought I'd see if another CM might let me use it for room only. Oh well, still keeping my fingers crossed for free dining in the fall! I'm glad that so many of you were able to use it!!!!!!!!!!!

I know with 100% certainty that this is a targeted code associated with a pin. Apparently CRO will be contacting those involved and adjusting the rates.

That being said if I were a person holding one of these ressies I would just wait and see....I am sure it will be within two weeks IF they are going to call.

Just be careful...I know with the boardwalk issue there were people who booked air, celebrated with the kids etc and then when the rate was taken away they were in a pickle. I would be cautiously optimistic for the next couple of weeks!

I checked my reservation that I made this morning. Online it is not showing the DDP, but when I call Disney it is showing with the dining. So, I'm hoping everything is still okay.

www.disneyworld.com

My Disney Vacation with the little suitcase under the search window in the top right corner. You will have to sign in (or register if you havent done that before) and then also enter your confirmation # and phone number. Although before you enter the confirmation # it tells you how long till your next visit. Guess thats for those people who can book multiple vacations.

I aclled to make sure the Dining plan is on my reservation. It is! It is not showing online, byt the CM said not to worry, it's on there.

Now I just got to wait and see if they cancel the reservation. I plan to fight it if they do, because I was told that I had a pin on my account Monday. It's funny because Tuesday they said I didn't have a pin. I know that even fighting it wouldn't matter. If they cancel, they cancel and there isn't much you can do. I'm just going to be very quiet for now.

If it turns out to be invalid for me, no big deal, as I'll still be crossing my fingers for free dining in the fall. I'd just like a definitive answer. I've read two posts on this thread where both were 100% sure- one was sure it is a pin, and one is sure it isn't, LOL! I'm not saving a great deal, it's just negating a bit more than the cost of the one day tickets I'll have to buy for the privelage of purchasing the dining plan (we have APs). The standard room, 1 day tickets for 2 A and 1 C, and DDP for 10 nights in Sept is 1649.31. If I hold out for an AP discount on the room, I'll probably pay about 725 for the room, and dining would be OOP (but I'd buy the DDE). If free dining rolls around, I'll end up paying about 1130, including the one day tickets and dining (saving an additional 520. than my current package).

I have an existing AAA room only reservation at AKL for 8 nights starting June 6, 2007. I just called about these codes, trying to see if I could add them to mine. The CM told me that ZFC expires June 2nd and ZFZ expires June 3rd. I said that I had seen the codes being used for dates during the fall months and she said that these codes were available for SELECTED dates. That may be why there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the dates.

Thanks all of you. We were holding a CR MK view room with one day passes and dining for $3400 (no discounts were available). With this code, we just got Poly GV for $2500. I know that we are missing the magical view of the castle, but I can think of a lot of things to buy with $900 and we can watch the fireworks from the Poly beach if we want to. Thanks again!
