Hello! Welcome to my PTR!

My name is Brandi. I live in Georgia and LOVE Disney. I'm a lucky girl because my husband, Brad, is just as obsessed as I am and looks forward to every trip. He even helps me plan. We've been married almost 6 years and have a five year old son named Tyson. This will be our 13th trip together to Disney and my 16th trip.

As you can tell from my PTR, this trip is just the three us. On our past two trips we've brought family along. In June 2011, we took my grandmother for our 9 day trip. It was great. She spent a lot of time at the resort and let Tyson play in the kiddie pool while we spent a couple mornings at the parks. She did go to the parks a few days too. It was fun but at the same time exhausting worrying about was she happy and actually having fun. She swore that she was looking forward to just getting out, walking around and relaxing at the hotel, and of course spending time with her great grandson.

Thanksgiving week, we took my little BILs. One is 16 and one is 23. It was fun also. We stayed for 3 nights. But once again, any kind of trip with other people is overwhelming for me because I want them to be happy. It was a fun trip though.

But now, finally, we have decided to not take anyone else. It's just the 3 of us for 9 days at CSR. :cloud9:

We've stayed at Pop, AKL and allstars before. My DH stayed at CSR a lot growing up and is extremely excited. I'm still looking at where I should request. Any suggestions on the right area to request at CSR is appreciated. :flower3:

Now for pictures:

I am going ahead and posting our itinerary next to get thoughts about it. We're doing some stuff differently this year and I really need opinions.

Thank you! I look forward to getting to know new friends.

So my DH and I sat down last night and actually discussed what we want to do for our 9 days at Disney. I don't usually plan every second of the day, just an overview of what park, emh, ADRs we're going to do.

Please, please, please critique this plan. We are trying to work in downtime, pool time, less ADRs and more QS. We want a relaxing vacation on this trip. We've gone enough times to know exactly what we like and what we don't have to see this trip. We'll be back again at Thanksgiving so what ever we miss, we'll see then.

Side note: My DS is noise sensitive. He is not on the autistic spectrum but does deal with anxiety when dealing with certain noises. He's always been this way and his doctor said that he will adapt as he grows and matures. We've convinced him to go on rides in the past and it just ended in more anxiety. We've learned our lesson. He's not a kid that will realize he likes the ride after riding it. He knows he doesn't like it and we don't need to beg or bribe him. This trip we have promised him he will not have to ride anything he doesn't want to. We will be taking turns riding rides and watching him.

Plans:

Saturday, June 9:

Leave house around 6 am. (Driving) Get breakfast at Chickfila (tradition). We'll arrive around 12:30 pm. Check in at CSR. Usually the room isn't ready at that time. My DH's grandmother lives 20 minutes from Disney and the 9th is her birthday. Normally, we go eat at one of the local restaurants she likes but this time we are surprising her. We've never been down there on her bday so we've made an ADR at Sanaa for 2 pm. I feel like as long as we leave our house on time, we can make it to Sanaa by 2.

After that, we'll take her back to her house and go to our room to unpack. We don't think that we want to go to the parks that day but we will have a ticket just in case. I'd rather be safe than sorry since it's only a few dollars more to add a day to that long of a trip.

We'll relax the rest of the day. Tour the resort, eat at pepper market, maybe swim a little.

Sunday June 10:

Joining in on your report as you will be there the same time as me! We are going June 8-15. I think we will be in MK on the same day if you and your DS do indeed go on the Thursday while your DH is at Blizzard Beach.

I'm jealous of your SHORT drive!!! Ours is closer to 13.5 hours!

I can't wait to read more about your trip!

Welcome!!! Thanks for joining in on my planning. Where are you staying?

I'm glad we have a short drive. I can barely take the six hours! Lol how do you make it through 13 hours? I guess I have a hard time sitting still period on an everyday basis.

We are staying at POFQ for the first time ever. We stayed this past time at CBR.

We take the drive in two days. For the first day we all get off early and leave around 3 p.m. traveling about 7-8 hours. Then on the second day we only have 5-6 hours to go.....YES I'm hoping for cheap airfare!!! lol.....

I love CSR. Such a pretty resort. You asked about location, and I recommend requesting the Cabanas. It is close to the main lobby AND the awesome main pool.
