OK, sweet hubbie and I are leaving 4 kids AT HOME and going to meeting in--the Happiest Place on Earth!!--and of course I want to hit all restaurants, etc. the 4 addorable children wouldn't have been admitted into when we went last January! SO, Victoria and Alberts is on my list, but I am wondering if anyone has any other ideas out there for me? We should have already made our 'reservations' or whatever they call them, but we haven't had much time with all the holidays. Any good ideas for us? We are there the very last few days of Leap Year-- February --and first few days of March. I'm desperate to get a plan and call it in. Can anyone suggest any really good ideas for the 4 nights we are there????? Thanks!!!!!:surfweb:

We both liked Coral Reef for lunch and are trying it for dinner this time. Also liked Chefs de France for lunch, and 50's Prime Time for dinner (a fun place).

was the service at France good? We made the mistake of taking 4 lovely children there (downstairs) when the war was breaking and France was not 'on board' with the American politics that got us in. (Sorry. I really don't want to get into politics. It just happened at that time.) Needless to say, they were less than friendly and really made me rethink that place when sweet (sleeping) husband suggested it. It HAS been 4 years ago. I know things change. Hopefully this is one of them???:confused3

The Coral Reef is really nice-esp if you can get seated next to the tank. You can basically ensure this if you get a diver to hold up a sign for you-I surprised DBF with this when we were there in August-it was so fun!

I also think Restaurant Marrakesh is nice for couples-the lighting is kind of low and the food is a little more exotic.

California Grill is also a nice place to go-esp if you can get reservations during Wishes (this may be kind of difficult at this late date)

Not food, but fun for 2:
Another fun thing to do "just the two of you" is to go to the Poly, order a delicious mixed drink, and sit out on the beach to watch the water pageant together under the stars-very relaxing (and romantic:lovestruc)

DBF and I also had a "date" while on vacation in May of 06-we both dressed up a little (he left the room and went for a walk while I got ready so he could come back and "pick me up":flower3: ) and went and saw La Nouba in Downtown Disney. The show is awesome, and it's also a nice, relaxing way to spend an evening away from the crowds.

I had no complaints with our server. I just remember the food being really good. I liked the onion soup, salad, quiche, and creme brulee (mmm the creme brulee).

Just thought I'd put in my two cents on Chefs as well...it's my favorite restaurant at Disney when I'm basing it on the quality/taste of the food (I absolutely LOVE the salmon tartar)-however, it's very loud and pretty crowded so I don't really think of it as a romantic spot.
We've eaten there 3 times now and have not had any problems with our servers (other than I apparently can't understand people w/French accents-I had to have DBF translate what the servers were saying, from English w/accent, to English I could comprehend-DBF still makes fun of me for this!:upsidedow )

Yachtsman Steakhouse and CA Grill would be my choices for a nicer meal.

So more casual I would go for Kona Cafe, or Mama Melrose.

For pub/bar atmosphere, ESPN to watch a game.

Artist Point and Coral Reef.

Enjoy your trip. :)
