Oh I sure hope this happens -- I can't wait to be able to search for ressies myself! I hate not being able to see what's available...
I totally agree. When we call just to find out what's available, it's a long distance call for us. And wading through all those questions on the reservations line - I can just hear the money adding up. Frankly, I would be ok with having to call Disney Dining to make or change a reservations but it would be lovely to see that a particular restaurant is already sold out before I call. Their alternate suggestions are rarely my 2nd choice.
This would be pretty much the way we made our room reservation - checked to see what dates were available for each special offer and then called Reservations to sign up.
And while I'm wishing, maybe they could make it so that my reservations are tied to my room reservation number too (wouldn't they have to do that to give me the 90 + 10?) so that I can keep all of my reservation numbers in one place. The My Disney Vacation program was down more than it was working before we left, so that wasn't very helpful.
