Just switched from POFQ to CSR

We are heading down for 8 days for our 4 kids' (ages 3,5,6, and 8) first trip to Disney in April. We originally booked the POFQ, but with the new Visa code we were able to save $600 dollars moving to CSR. There were no rooms available under the deal at POFQ. I am excited but I bit nervous about the overwhelming size of CSR and the fact the pool slide will be closed while we are there. Please reassure me that we made the right decision. Also, which buildings should we request?

Your family with love CSR. And honestly, it doesn't seem huge and certainly is not overwhelming! I suggest you request Cabanas 8A -- closest to the pool, or Cabanas 9B -- closest to the lobby, restaurants & giftshop. We were in 8-A last summer. Here are pictures of the cabanas:

This is Cabanas 8A taken from the steps to the main pool. Even though the pool is close, it's so well landscaped that we never heard any noise from the pool in our room in 8A.

We stayed there last year and we were in 9A or 9B, I can't remember which one it was. We were right next to the lobby and right at the bus stop. You will not be disappointed in this resort. We have a 3 and 4 year old and they loved it. CSR holds a crowd well and the bus service was wonderful while we were there. Is the pool closed or is the slide closed? If so atleast you can go to the waterparks for free. Also, I read alot of negative about pepper market before we arrived. I think if you know what to expect before you get there you will not be disappointed. We never had any problems with it. Have fun! One last note, did you check online with the package at POFQ to see if the package was available? I've heard that people actually talked to CM's and had no luck, but were able to go online and use that code successfully. It might be worth a check if you really want to stay at POFQ.

Make a building request asap and then fax it again 5 days prior to arrival.

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

Great choice! We switched from POR to CSR on our last trip and it was a total trip saver. We love the restaurant, theming, and layout of CSR. All of the locations are very beautiful, but the ranchos will make you walk the most. But honestly, you can't go wrong.

Let me start by saying that POFQ is my favorite mod so far. The only mod that I have not stayed at yet is CSR. We absolutely love POFQ, but for a savings of $600.00 and lots of positive reviews on these boards of CSR, I think it is a no brainer that you made that decision. Have a great time, I am sure it will be wonderful! Plus, you will have a nice savings as well!

For $600 in savings, you cant go wrong. CSR is beautiful...have a great time!
