We just submitted an offer last night on a BWV contract. I undersand that this process will probably take upwards of three months for completion. However, approximately how long until we hear if our offer was accepted? Just curious.

Whenever I submit an offer, I make it clear that my offer is good for a set amount of time so I can move on to the next best contract if the seller isn't interested or is too slow to respond. I usually give 48 hours, but will give less time if there are multiple contracts available that meet my needs.

That said, I've negotiated back and forth and settled on a deal in less than an hour, and another one, which was a great deal, took 12 days to finalize.

I agree with the advice to put a time limit on the offer.

Last fall, I made a full price offer (with me also paying all closing and management fees on unused points) on a Monday afternoon. By Thursday morning I still hadn't heard anything so I emailed the broker that the offer would expire at noon that day. Within an hour, the seller accepted.

I didn't hear back for 2 days. My agent said there were multiple offers on the listing they were considering. I will definitely put a 24 hour limit on my next one because there were a few others I had my eye on... and we all know, when you're ready to pull the trigger, you're ready. :)

Well, as of today we still haven't heard back from the seller. Rachel Thompson (From DVC Magic) has been wonderful and has kept in contact with us. She replied this morning that she was going to push the seller for a reply, and if she still hasn't heard anything she will pull the listing. Bummer, but I guess we'll see what happens.:(

I heard back right away. But I gotta tell ya, putting a time limit on the offer is a very good idea. One that I will be using in the future.

Great advice on the time table thing. I didn't do that but there were tons of the same point total and use year when I bought. I always here back fast too.

I made an offer on a resale last month. I heard back from the agent within 30 minutes. The agent had already spoken to the seller and had a counter offer. I countered and within 5 minutes the agent had called me back to tell me the seller agreed. Ten minutes later I had the contract. I was very impressed with The Time Share Store and the seller! We are now 22 days into ROFR..COME ON MOUSE!

We are with the TSS as well, and heard back that the sellers had accepted the offer within an hour, and that was on Sunday 2/1. Sent for ROFR 2/2. Very happy with how efficient the TSS has been so far. But I am sure it greatly depends on how hard it is to get in contact with the sellers and how fast the are willing to move. The listing we offered on was a couple of months old, so that may have had something to do with it as well.

Was it the 300 pt dec uy contract? If so I'm sorry that was mine and I had sold it already. There was some miscommunication and it was still up on the site. BWV is a great place to own though good luck on your search!

Yes!! As a matter of fact it was. Thanks for letting me know. Moving forward. :car:
