Just spoke to my Vacation club Guide. MB program is changing.

I just spoke to my guide and she stated that the MB program is changing. the new program will allow you to sell back ALL of your first year points but for only $5.00 a point.

The sales rep said that it wouldn't make a difference if I didn't plan to vacation in the first year anyway.

She also said that they hope New York to be approved for mail/phone sales in May.

I was undecided about giving up half my points at $10/point. There is NO WAY I would give up a full years points, especially at $5/point.

I think that this just proves that Disney is ahead of schedule with VWL sales and meeting little resistance to the current price per point. And they'll give you back that $750 for your 150 points for that first year....and then turn around and rent out those nights for the first year. It's a win-win for them. Those 150 points are worth much, much more than that $750 that they're giving back to the new buyer. If I was buying I certainly wouldn't go for the MB if this is all that Disney is offering.
