I'm sure this was mentioned elsewhere in a thread, but I discovered this a little too late:

:teacher:
IF you order through ebates to Cheap Tickets, don't expect your refund to be deposited until up to 40 days AFTER your trip. So... I ordered in Feb for a trip in Oct (four 4-day PH), which won't be credited til mid/end-November... and then won't be refunded until the next payout. :surfweb:

ALSO... if you order two things... for example, two dining vouchers, you need to complete one transaction, then back out and RE-ENTER through Ebates to the SAME place and complete the second transaction, otherwise it won't register in the system.

Fortunately I was able to sort it out in chat, and they did the refund as a 'courtesy', however in order to alleviate the difficulty, remember if you're doing multiple transactions in one shop, you need to back out EACH TIME and re-enter EACH TIME to get the tracking number for the credit. o_O

URG!!

So yeah, a little frustration and time-consuming, but I'd say 100000% better than it used to be before computers, right? :crazy2:

I bought tickets the other day for our trip in May and the cashback was in my Ebates account the next day. Granted, I will not get it until the next pay out but I knew that since I saw on the site the payout dates.

eBates told me they won't credit me for a WDW resort booking via Orbitz until 40 days after I return.

Generally speaking, it's been my experience that ebates will make it as difficult as possible to get payouts on big purchases.

(And they're not alone--I once placed a six thousand dollar order on Amazon with my Chase Amazon Visa and those points shockingly never showed up until I called to ask.)

WOW! I'll keep on them then. The money will come in handy for Christmas... or after-Christmas bills.

I had that experience last year. I emailed and talked to them but kept getting the same spiel about not paying out until 40 days after my return, even though I pointed out that almost everyone else on this budget board had gotten their cash credited immediately. Someone recommended I post about it on their Facebook page and lo and behold, they responded at once and I had the cash credited within a few days, and so did a couple of others from this board who had the same situation. Ebates' FB people were wonderful. On a similar note, I had an issue at Christmas with Sally's Beauty Supply and phone calls did nothing. Once I posted on their FB page, they contacted me immediately to resolve it. Don't underestimate the power of social media!

I'm guessing you are talking about room reservations and not tickets? When I ordered tickets from Orbitz last year the money was deposited right away, which makes sense since they are non refundable and I've paid in full. For the room reservation, you could cancel for a full refund up to 3 days prior, so if they already paid you the rebate, they would be out whatever they paid you. I don't remember it being 40 days when I did this, but I really don't recall.

Nope, I'm talking tickets, Park Hopper, not room. I paid for that seperately. I'll look into the FB page as a resolution because I'd much prefer to have that money NOW as opposed to later. Granted, it's like $80, but it's MY $80, KWIM?

Mine was only tickets, too--$1200 worth and my check was $120. The ebates FB team really came through for me!

Looks like ebated is only 1% for activities right now - boo!

Anyone seeing anything different?

Cheap Tickets is 8% for event tickets through Top Cashback and 5% for activities. Their Disney tickets are listed under event tickets, but when you click on them it opens a new tab (not sure if this would track). You can also get to them from a different page under deals and it keeps you in the same tab, but then it changes to Orbitz, which is also 5% for activites through Top Cashback, so I think you would at least get 5%, not sure if it would track at 8%.

Our ebates for our tickets throughOrbitz came through right away. I had to wait until the next pay out period, but the money was in my ebates right away.

Since you cant get your actual physical tickets till you get to Disney can you still make fast passes?

Yes. The Disney code showed up in Cheaptickets 3 or 4 days after purchase. I put that number in for my ticket on MDE and have made all my FP+ reservations with no problems.

I've used Cheaptickets/Ebates for Disney tickets twice now and the money was in my Ebates account within a few days. I think that's the best option right now with 6.88% back on activities.

Well I'm still waiting for the money so I think I won't see it until November or after unless I make some waves. Doesn't matter I guess - I have the emails with the numbers and bar codes on them.

Where is this Disney Code of which you speak? Where will it show up? In an email? Is it for WDW only? I'm going to be making meal reservations and such for DLR in August and I don't want to leave things til the last minute and scramble around for stuff I didn't know I needed.

I'm not sure about DL but for WDW when I log into Orbitz and click on my trips and then click on my tickets there are 3 codes highlighted. One is my Disney Ticket Confirmation number. This is what I put in MDE.

My Disney confirmation number was on my tickets in my Cheaptickets account. However, DL doesn't have FP+ yet so you don't need a Disney confirmation number to book rides in advance. You also don't need anything other than a credit card to make dining reservations at either park.

On Feb 24,2014 I got my tickets for 20% cash back! I think it is normally a President's Weekend sale but not 100%.
