I know the media sucks.
And it shows, in my school.
Now first off, I love guys, and I love the guys at my school, sure they can be pigs sometimes but they're usually funny and nice.
Situation numero un:
I was telling my friend about how I thought it was awful that people were saying Tyra Banks is ugly because she has a big forehead and that she's fat. And the boy sitting in front of my replied saying 'That's because she is.'
Honestly! It's awful. I think she's beautiful. But of course, she doesn't model anymore, so this is her time to relish in healthy eating and everything. She doesn't need to be stick thin, her job does not rely on her beauty anymore. And I'm sitting there thinking 'Is there something wrong with being a bit bigger and curvy?' Because honestly, Tyra, even after her weight gain, is not that fat.
And today!
My teacher or someone, for some reason or another left a bunch of Women's magazines in my class. Cosmopoliton, Instyle, Marie Claire, etc were in there. Of course, many of these magazines discuss Sex and such and aren't exactly school appropriate. So most of the guys were reading this stuff, out of every magazine. Any article that even suggested promiscuity, they read it, even hoping for photos. The teacher looked as though he was pretending that he was too busy to even notice what the boys were reading.
