Hi everyone! Q: Has anyone ever heard of someone having a reception in the Magic Kingdom? I was looking on the site and one of the real weddings had their reception in and around the castle? Just wondering if anyone had any info on that. That seems like it would be really cool.

They stopped doing receptions in the Magic Kingdom b/c they don't have the food-service facilities. Even if you buy the $25,000 Rose Garden ceremony package, you have to go somewhere outside the park for your reception. Unless you won that contest in Brides magazine :rotfl:

I wondered where the food would come from, too! LOL! Ok. Thanks for the info!

There was a couple, Sarah and Fred, who did this, but they had to do it late at night, so the ceremony was after their dinner in the Animal Kingdom. It was really cool, but again, really spendy! If I find a link, I will post.

I saw that website too. I think it was sarahandfred.com Apparently Disney charges $500,000 to rent out the MK. :scared1:

The above was me freaking. *ahem*

Love the Castle, but that's a house and a car or two for the RECEPTION site!

*I was not prepared for that price tag....that's the wedding, honeymoon, pre-parties, after-parties....the list keeps going...LOL!*

I actually read their story. They swear they didn't pay the half-mil, but the work that they had to put in to get the price down still sounds like more than it's worth... Epcot is SO readily available... LOL! :rotfl2:
