Thanks to those with the positive feedback- it caused me to open my ING account tonight!!

I just don't know how long it takes to see the deposits.....

What I like is when you sign on not only do you need you customer number and password, but they ask a different question each time for verification. It makes it seem a little more secure.

Yes I agree, but does anyone else ever think that the information that they ask for is pretty easy to get? I mean if whomever has your customer number and pin, wouldn't it be easy for them to have your SS# or zip code?

Now the questions that they asked yesterday when I opened an account for one of my DDs - now THOSE questions would not be common knowledge!!!

Congratulations! You will see the deposits within one or two business days. And you will know them when you see them! When ever have you deposited anything under $.10??? :)

Isnt ING great???? Didnt I read somewhere that this promo will end in August??? I hope not because I dont know many people and it will take a long tome to use those ref.

Is it the end of July/beginning of August, or is it the end of August? I haven't done this yet, was just dragging my feet and don't want to miss the deadline.

I am not for sure, but I thouht I had read that August was the last month.

fyi...there is now a thread stuck at the top of this board for all ING questions/comments...trying to keep all ING info in one place!

I don't think it's ending. Refrerral emails do have an expiration date, usually it's good for 30 days so maybe that is where the date of August is coming from??

GOOD morning There are no fees with the ing account and no minimum balance and you can open an account for one dollar !

one more quick one, well, maybe not so quick. I have had a bunch of folks PM me offering a referral. How did any of you decide who to take a referral from? I would like for it to be someone that could "really" use it, but how do you determine that? I almost went with the first person to respond, then I thought, maybe the one that gave the most helpful information. Geez, it is only $10.00, but I would like to do the right thing.

I'd do by the first or maybe someone I recognize or someone whose been helpful or someone from your home state!! That's a tough one!

beattyfamily, I have had all of the above

How about "My mother and your mother were hanging out some clothes, my mother punched your mother right in the nose, what color was her blood?" Or catch a tigger by the toe?;)

I know that DH will be opening one soon, it'll be my first (and probably only) referral.

Has anyone opened a joint with spouse and had their spouse open a joint with them later?

Can you make an account joint after you've opened the account as an individual account?

Thanks everyone!!

I opened my account last night -- it was painless and didn't take long at all.

Now when I refer my husband and kiddies, does it matter that it's all the same checking account?

It makes no difference. DH, DD, DS and myself all have accounts that are linked to the same checking account. It makes it so much easier to transfer money back into checking when I need to make withdrawals.
