So we finally received our papers to sign after agonizingly waiting for FedEx to deliver them. Now that I was able to log in and book a room for our first WDW trip. I wasn't expecting to get our home resort of CCV but I knew something would be available and the Treehouses @ SSR will be our resort. There will be myself, DW, DD4, DS2 & my both my parents. Was a little worried about the distance from things but since we are in no rush to "see/do" most things, we thought why not go for it.

Just wanted to say hi, before I comb the forums for information I'm looking for about MDE, MB's, Etc. WDW looks to be such a different animal than DL I am glad I knew about DISboards to help me.

Welcome home:-)
I remember the nail biting week waiting to finalize DVC and book 1st trip.
When are you going? Just curious was treehouse only place available.

These boards will be invaluable for information. We are finally going to Disneyland this summer for the 1st time for a few days on the way to Aulani. This amazing trip is possible because of our DVC. Aulani was the push to get us to Hawaii, which in turn made sense to stop in Disneyland.

So I'm busy trying to plan Disneyland and it's only 60 days in advance to book! No magicband advance fastpass... I'm lost LOL.

WDW is another animal. These boards will guide you. Yes you will decide 180 days in advance where you want to eat LOL!! Well if you want the most popular places anyway. It's crazy, but at same time awesome!
Happy planning

Thanks!

SSR and OKW were the only two options left that could fit us all for the 7 nights. Split stays weren't an option either as with two little ones it's much easier to stay in one place. We could of went the 2br but the Treehouses looked to enticing and we have more than enough points.

We are going in mid September as we got an exception and received an Oct UY that gave us points this year to use up as well.

We love DL, but our kids are young so doing the FP circuit wasn't high on our list. Our DD4 just hit 40" on our last trip there so she got to try Some of the bigger rides but was still a little scared. Rider switch was all we really needed still.

Extra points that's awesome. When we bought initially we had an extra year points as well. With 1 phone call I used 2 years of points and planned the next 3 trip... yea I'm crazy and my husband almost fell over:-)
Will you have a car? Just worried treehouse is one of the most remote locations and without car it's a good walk to SSR pool dining etc.

Do take advantage of walkway to OKW. It is such a nice walk and OLivia's is a great restaurant. B, L, or Dinner. Casual, homey and yummy.
No lights at night though on walkway keep in mind.

It will be nice to be near Disney springs for many dining options as well as direct buses to any resort for dining.(if no car)
September should be lighter crowds because school starts which is awesome but chance of hurricane and rain.
Happy planning

We were thinking of no car as we hate having to haul the car seats at the airport. We are coming from western Canada so driving isn't an option. Kept reading about a 10 min walk and that's what most people called the DLH to DL walk which we didn't mind at all. Google maps looks like one golf hole (420yards?) so that's not too bad or is it actually more?

I just looked because I don't ever remember the SSR buses stopping at Treehouse villas. Apparently they do have internal shuttle. So if it is raining you can take that and then get off at another stop to transfer to park bus.
10 min not a long walk but depending when you go and with kids it can be real hot in Florida.

Nothing wrong with the tree houses. You can walk to a Saratoga bus stop to get rid of a taking the bus from tree houses to Main Saratoga. Tree houses is a great way to save on points for big families.
