I just got back from a short trip to Disney last week and decided to take my new Minnie Mouse stainless steel insulated water bottle (made by Zak) pictured below. It was a gift for Valentine's Day and I started using it at home a lot and it keeps things cold for me for over 24 hours so I thought I'd give it a shot with the Florida heat and sun. Well it works pretty much just as well even in the heat!

I would fill it with ice and a drink in the morning at our hotel and take extra bottles for later. Even hours later I added warm water to it and there was still plenty of ice to keep it cold through the rest of the day. So much better than carrying water bottles that get warm or having to carry a cooler bag. And it is completely leak proof so I can toss it in my backpack with no worries. Also has a handle so it could probably be put on a lanyard and worn as well. And for reference it fit one regular sized drink at the quick service locations so I also used it to hold my sodas so I didn't have to carry around a drink with no lid or waste my $4 drinks, lol.

It was also very helpful on the plane. I always grab a bottled water before boarding and it's warm pretty fast. I had the bottle empty through security and even with no ice when I added cold water it was still cold 4 hours later.

I'm totally getting more so the kids can use them when we go back. Thought this might be helpful info to share.Zak water bottle.jpg

Love this! Where did you find this?

My husband found it online. I couldn't find the exact same one, but I did find different characters on the exact same bottle at Target. It's the Zak 19oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle if searching online.

How did it do on the plane with the pressurizing? I took a camel back on a plane with me once (one with the rubbery bite ends that you drink from) and it ended up leaking during the ascent.

I didn't have any issues at all. I don't know if it had something with carbonation if it would have made a difference but I only had water in it on the plane.
