This site has a lot of great resources comming from first hand experiences. Disney can be very overwhelming and you will want to do everything while you are there,,,,,,,DON'T EVEN TRY...by cramming in the parks and the rides, you miss some of what the Disney magic is...
This will be our third trip back to Disney...but this time i've been doing a lot of online research....

we missed the boardwalk, missed fantasmic dining experience, missed illuminations,;etc...you get my point...
you need to plan not necessarily down to the minute of what you want to do/go but at least have a loose plan together for your day's that you will be there.
here's what i did on a word document:
****When leaving MAGIC KINGDOM take monorail (if closer) to contemporary resort----from contemp resort take bus to MGM, from MGM back to resort.
1. Big River Grille: Boardwalk --- THURSDAY / FRID/ SAT
2. Wolfgang Puck: Downtown
3. Disney Spirit of Aloha: Polynesian Resort 2
4. Tonys Town Square: Magic Kingdom: Sunday 21 xtra magic evening (pirates/princess party) or Thurs 25th (pirates/princess party)

Presented nightly on the Seven Seas Lagoon, featuring barges carrying 25-foot tall screens of lights with King Neptune and creatures from under the sea and a starts and stripes salute to America finale.
