Just saw the Movie Up for the first time

I had tears behind the 3D glasses. Really.

Can't wait for the video to arrive so I can share it with people who missed it.

Amazon dropped the price from $16.99 to $14.99.

purchased it yesterday but haven't seen it yet. Don'y usually do that but it received such great reviews! Also, got a great deal on it.

absolutely one of my favorite films of all time, for the storyline and the INCREDIBLE graphics. LOVED 3d!

UP slotted in as my 3rd favorite Pixar film after Ratatouille and Wall-E. I didn't see it in 3D as I am not a fan of 3D generally but it was a great story.

I think the thing I like best about Pixar is that they come up with a compelling story first and then make a movie. Unlike movies like Transformers 2 that do effects first and then try to shoehorn in a half-<edit>ed story after the fact they do it right. I wish Hollywood would realize that effects enhance a story, not the other way around.

We watched "UP" last night...laugh, cry, repeat...that was me last night. I really enjoyed it as did DH and DS...very funny and touching! I would add it to a "Best of..." list also.

This is exactly what makes Pixar films so fantastic! Love 'em!

(Was Incredibles Pixar? I liked that one, too)

We saw it in the movies in 3d:3dglasses, kids loved it, I cried pretty much the whole movie. We got the DVD yesterday, kids still are loving it, but man, I can't even walk into the room if it's on. Beautiful story, beautiful message, but whoa, too sad for me:sad1:

My 2 cents in regards to Transformers 2.

Megan Fox was in it. As far as I am concerned just put the camera on her and no script is needed. :thumbsup2

Saw it for the first time. I have to say I think it is the best Pixar movie yet.

The writing should get an Oscar - possibly one of the best and well written story lines in a very long time. Kudos to Pixar and John Lasseter for being so fearless with this movie.

I have been harsh on Pixar for their past few movies but I think Up shows you can have a great story and great animation and great (voice) acting in one movie.

I think Walt would have been very proud of this one.

I am going to get Up! tomorrow. I can't wait to see it again. I loved, loved it. I especially loved the beginning. I loved how they depicted Carl and Ellie's relationship.

It only came out in the UK a few weeks ago in the cinema, I saw it twice and I LOVED it! I was brave enough to see it in 3D, which was amazing! I cried before the movie started! The short is gorgeous too!

That would have been a much better movie.

I loved "Up" also. One of my favorite 2 or 3 Pixar movies.

That being said....after read Drake's and Frank's opinions, I'm eagerly awaiting "Up 2" starring Megan Fox.

I saw it last night for the first time. It was really touching. I bawled in a few spots. I enjoyed the movie, but I'm not sure where it ranks in my faves...
We loved the "Partly Cloudy" short too!

We saw this in the theater and I loved it. I'll admit that I was tearing up in more than a few places, the first part really got me, but it is such a good story. Now my family will say "squirrel" out of the blue and at random times and we all end up giggling.

We saw it in the theater back when it came out (not in 3D) and I cried a bit, but hey, I was 3 months pregnant. The other day DH and I were watching TV and I was balling at the Green Mile and he was teasing me. Then he went out and got UP on Tuesday so we watched it that night. I balled like a baby in several spots. At least I have the excuse of being 34 weeks pregnant :rotfl: Of course I won't tell him now that I'll likely always cry when we watch UP - it's just so heartbreaking in a few spots! But we both love it!

We saw UP in 3D on the Disney Wonder in September 2009. Had tears in my eyes too. Nice movie. Us old folks usually don't go out to the movies so this was a treat.
