Tonight at 6:58pm the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle Discovery flew over our house. That was by far one of the the coolest things I have ever seen. The kids got to see it, and we even dragged out my parents.

Wasn't that awesome??? Ds & I went out to see it - so great that it was such a clear night. They flew right over our house and I even waved - do you think they saw me? :)

Awesome! My little space man would have had his telescope out in the front yard!

He is currently busy telling everyone that it lands tomorrow and it will glide down and land on the track like an airplane. :goodvibes

No, sir! Those are seagulls and their poop all lit up. ;) :rotfl2::rotfl2:

One of the biggest thrills I experienced was watching the shuttle take off while we were at the Contemporary Aug. 2009.

The shuttle is set to land at 11:57am today. They will make the go/no go decision in about an hour. If you do not have NASA TV, you can watch it over the internet at www.nasa.gov, click on multimedia and then NASA tv

I'll have to tell Kicky - what time is it there now? (My screen says you posted at 2.34pm)

Right now it is 10:45, so you have about an hour. They just started the re-entery burn off.

When you posted this message the shuttle was flying over your area for the last time. :thumbsup2

That was a beautiful pic of the night sky. You must have used a nice camera since it's difficult to take a picture in the dark!

Nikon D90. With a long lens.
It would have been better if I had it set up on a tripod, but I can live with it.
