I have been checking the websites daily for Spirit and Southwest airlines for our June vacation to the world and I was lucky enough to catch a break today! Both airlines have been around $1100 for fare (and bag with Spirit) for the past few weeks. When I went onto Spirit's site today, they lowered the fare for our arriving flight by enough to save us over $300.
Yes, I know that many people do not like Spirit however, we have flown them many times and my only issues were that we were delayed once and of course, the endless changes in time of departure. Otherwise, we completely understand the terms regarding fee and the cost is significantly better for us. We bring our own snacks on the plane and know that our dates have to be set in stone.
With the rising gas prices, I am thrilled to know that I was able to get our fare for the same that we paid last summer:goodvibe
