Just returned..

on Sunday 12/11. We had a great trip. Even with all the cheerleaders the parks were empty. We never had any lines longer than 10 min. If it showed 30 min or more for fastpass, we got one.
We stayed at GF, Boca Chica # 8302 garden view. We weren't in room much so glad we did not pay for lagoon view, which I debated since we had last time. All the CM's at the resort were more than happy to help. They even seemed a little more so than on other trips.
We did Alfredo's, Biergarden, Boma's, 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner, Wolfgang Puck Express, & Rainforest Cafe in DD for our dinners. All meals were good, but our best meal was at Boma's. (mine,dh's, and nieces favorite anyway)
MVMCP was a lot of fun. We got to ride the rides without having to get off several times. The best was riding Splash Mountain around midnight and it started drizzling.
All in all it was a magical trip. Our flights were all on schedule (arriving early both ways), we got a huge van instead of full size car (for the same $$) which worked out great for our luggage. We had 5 people, for 5 nights and each had carry on and I had one large suitcase for all the extra. All I can say is, I can't wait for my May trip with just me and my sister!

Next time we'll have to go with you!. We got back on the 9th and found the the MVMCP very disappointing. Two years ago they cut out those cute VMCP buttons we have been collecting for years (since 1999) and then this year they cut out the family photos which we loved. We found the fast pass machines shut down on the night we went so there lines everywhere for all the rides except for Small World (although we didn't stay until mid-night). At Epcot, we found the lines for the new "Soarin" ride so long (and all the fast passes were all distributed by early evening) that it was impossible to get on without waiting over an hour, but that was better than the three hours the people next to us mentioned they waited. I guess timing is everything!
We were glad, though, to see that the Osborne Family light spectacle at MGM is expanding as we missed the awesome sight it was when it encompassed the entire back lot a few years ago (though we do miss the large santa hat that used to be on the water tower). We also did the hotel tour and it seems there's no place that compares to the Christmas decorations.

Glad to hear you had such a great trip! I love getting to "ride through" at WDW, it feels so much like cheating (we're not really allowed to do this, are we?).
