We stayed at Pop. When we got the MCO, the Magical Express line (after check in, waiting to get on a bus) was long. We waited almost 45 minutes to get on a bus. Checked in to Pop 2 hours after our plane landed. I don't know when our luggage arrived exactly, it was in our room when we returned from dinner, about 7 pm.

Park transportation was GREAT!!!!!!! Our longest wait for a bus was 10 minutes and that was from Downtown Disney back to the resort. Most of our waits were right around 5 minutes. The best surprise of the trip - we were on our way to Epcot for rope drop and realized that we might have left an envelope with money left in the hotel after we checked out. We decided that I would go back and look for it and then meet up with my family later. We got off the bus at 8:55 and off I headed to the Pop bus stop (of course the bus we were on was not going back to Pop). I called my dh at 9:30 saying I just got off the bus and was back at Epcot.

I also returned last night from a 10 day stay (All Stars Sports & BCV) and had no issues with the WDW Transport buses (did not use DME). The longest wait was a couple of 15 waits, but most waits were no more than 5 to 7 minutes.

I agree, we thought the bus service did a great job. We only had one unusually long wait for a DTD bus from our resort. It was a 27 min wait, but other than that we had great service. No longer than 10 mins I think each time and many were almost just as we walked up or waiting while we arrived.

I have heard people complain about how far away our resort was (AKL) and I didn't find that at all. I timed many of the trips and obviously AK was not very long, less than 5 mins each trip, but MK was only 12-14 mins, with a 15 or 16 min thrown in there. Not the end of the world. Epcot was the same about 15 mins or so and DHS was closer to the 10-12 mins. DTD was the farthest at about 20 mins. So we thought the busses were great. Glad you had a good experience.

and please tell us, did you find the money. :confused3:)

I did, but not in the room. Turns out dh had put it with the travel stuff so it ended up in my carry-on backpack. He thought he had left it on the bed for me to pick up .

We left the drop, stopped the RAC, left our carry ons with luggage service and got on a bus to Epcot. By the time I got back to our room mousekeeping had already stipped and made up the beds.

Thanks for posting your reviews - very reassuring for newbies like me.

Glad you had a good trip!

Just returned last night from 5 days at BWV. We were on the ME bus to POR and BW 16 mins after our arrival at MCO. Were at BW check-in 50 mins after landing. WDW busses were fabulous, waited most days 5-10 mins for the bus to the parks, returning no more than 10 mins.

Its so nice to see such positive reviews of WDW transportation. Disney has worked really hard at improving this service and I think they have done a fantastic job.

Unfortunately you are still gonna have a problem now and then caused by accidents, faulty equipment, driver errors, etc. but that is becoming rarer and rarer.

Its sad that most peoples perception of how the WDW Transportation system operates is based on negative reports that we see on this board and others like it. People think it is the rule and not the exception.

We stayed at AKL a few weeks ago and never waited more that 6 minutes for a bus to or from the parks.

Thanks for the review

I agree, it is nice to hear from those who have positive experiences. It seems that only those with something to complain about bother to post... & I'm reasonably sure all the positive experiences FAR out weigh the negative or else Disney wouldn't bother offering the services. ;)

Thank you for posting Emily! In over 30 years of going to Disney, I've only had a poor experience once with their transportation, and that was with a lost ME driver (mears, not disney btw) who insisted Ft. W was Wilderness Lodge... it more entertaining than anything as he tried to hide the fact that he was lost from us and his dispatcher (who finally bagged him with a 'reported sighting' of a ME bus sitting in the Ft. W parking lot) :lmao:

My experience was the complete opposite!

We actually arrived the day you left...got straight on the bus with no issues and were the second stop on the route. Plane landed around 9am and we got to POP around 10am or a bit earlier. Received luggage about 3 1/2 hours later. Not too bad!

I hated park transportation. I actually bumped up my rental car a day earlier so I could drive to the parks. It was just too hot to sit out in the sun with a 3 year old squirming in a stroller and wait for the buses to roll up. I HATED how if you stay in value resorts your bus stop is the furthest away from the park exit. I will never use those buses again!
