Just returned home last night from seven nights at VWL. We had an awesome time. We had a dedicated two bedroom, room 2535, close to the elevators, and overlooking the woods towards the lake. We were very pleased with the room - everything was in working order and spotless!! The parks were very crowded. We did early entry and then spent most afternoons back at the lodge. The bike and boat family plan was great!! My kids loved the water mice, bikes, pontoon boat, etc. We figure we would have spent around $400 for everything we used if we had not bought the plan. The water area that you could travel with the boats was huge!! We had some fantastic meals i.e., Boma, Crystal Palace, Spoodles, Beaches n' Creme, Whispering Canyons, Hollywood and Vine, Chef Mickeys, etc. Needless to say - we need to get back on track with our eating habits - way too much food :p . We used FL tours - luxury van (party of six) to get from the airport to VWL - very good service. We also had great weather the entire week. Time to start planning our next trip - President's Week 2004. If anyone has any questions - we would be glad to answer them!!:)

Why didn't you bring all of us with you? ;)

SimplyMagical...thanks for the quick report. I think we'll be doing that bike and boat plan as well this year.

Do you need a lot of experience to "drive" the water mice? I have DD's 14 & 12....is there an age minimum?

Sounds like you had a great time!

....makes me want to go home right now!

Glad you had a wonderful time and thanks for the report!

Granny:

To operate a water mouse, you must be at least 5 foot tall and twelve years old. They are very easy to operate and lots of fun. The pontoon boat is also fun to take the whole family out in.

Simply Magical: did it rain a lot? We're going on Monday for a week and the weather indicates "scattered thunderstorms" almost every day.

SimplyMagical...thanks for the information. We're definitely going to give the bike and boat plan a try since we are switching to PH passes this year and won't be in the parks everyday. Great info! :)

KayleeUK....just had to say that I love your "Boardwalk" signature!! Very cool! :)

I just had a question about the boat and bike rentals. How early in the morning can you rent either the bikes or boats? And what is the latest time in the evening you can rent. I would just like to ride bikes in the evening and wonder if they close before we get back from the parks. Thanks.
