Just Returned from POP!!!

Rantnravin - our wake up calls were provided by Mickey each day. We didn't have any other characters. Didn't know they staggered the characters on the wake up calls.

Thanks Joe! that makes me feel better. :cheer2:

(When we went in February, i scheduled wake-ups for all different times (6:52, 7:04, 6:27, etc.) and kept winding up with Stitch--it got old after a few days. (As did stitch all over the buses, the monorail, DTV...)

That's a terrrific bldg isn't it Joe??!! We were in that one several weeks ago..room 2336..way back at the end of the walkway over the back parking lot. Terrific room. Loved just about everything about Pop. And while we didn't get lucky in the towel animal dept, we did see many hallways that were. Seemed like just certain mousekeepers had the talent, so to speak. Some windows were full of the things!!! We will be going back again I'm sure.

The character you get depends on the time (minute) of the call.

Now a VERY stupid question from oversea... :duck:
Is the wake up call a free service? And requesting an hairdryer is also free?

yes both the wake-up calls and hair dryers are "free" in sence you already paid for the room. No additional charges apply.

Thanks for the great review! Glad you liked your stay at POP. We stayed at POP 3x already and we liked it a lot.

Thanks Joe! Heading there the end of September and glad to hear good reviews.

Thanks for the great post. We will be staying at POP for the first time in 37 days!!! I can't wait much longer.

We've also stayed at Pop Century quite a few times, and we've always enjoyed our stays!!! I agree with your post exactly - we fit fine in the room. And we never heard any of our neighbors!

Glad you enjoyed Pop Century!

Joe Mouse...you said that you felt it was quicker getting around by driving. I'm surprised by that. I would have thought that by the time you drove to your destination (say, the Magic Kingdom), queued up to enter the parking lot, parked, then made your way to the entrance, it would take longer to go by car than by bus.

Anyone else have any experience with this?

The character you get depends on the time (minute) of the call. For example...

7:00 Stitch
7:01 Mickey
7:02 Minnie
7:03 Goofy
7:04 Donald
7:05 Chip
7:06 Dale
7:07 Cinderella
7:08 and on Mickey

BTW I love those stitch wake up calls. :earboy2:

We usually set the alarm for just before the hour and have always had Mickey, I had no idea about the other characters and I can't wait to try it!

We can't wait to try those for wake up calls too.

Okay, so my favorite ride song when I was little was Listen to the Land. It's not even in the ride anymore. Usually, SO sleeps closer to the phone and answers the wake up call. But one morning this past trip, I did and Listen to the Land was playing!!!! It was the song briefly and then Stitch followed by Mickey. I loved it. :goodvibes
