Just returned from Poly!

Is it clearly marked what can be ordered for those on the ddp? Just wondering w/the self ordering...is there someone near by in case we need to ask questions? Thanks for any info.

At the cashier station there is a sign for what are considered snacks on the DDP. I don't know about actual meal items, but the cashiers were very helpful.

To the OP, what room # did you get. Were you overlooking the marina or the cove?

We were in room 3315 overlooking the marina. It was just beautiful watching the sun come up over the volcano pool in the morning with a cup of coffee. I have several pictures, but I don't know how to post, or if I have enough posts to be able to do pictures. We could also see part of the electrical boat parade from the balcony, but not the fireworks.

We were in room 3603. Walk off the elevator right to the room.

flit I am glad you had a great time at the Polynesian! I read your post and wanted to shout, "I told you so!" to all those negative posters!

We had the same experience at Captain Cooks. The back-up at the cashier is caused by people on the DDP not understanding what is and isn't included. We got stuck behind two nice boys who were just trying to get a snack and the cashier was trying to help them get the best value. My wife said, "There should be a separate cashier for guests on the Dining Plan." We were not on the dining plan so I did not pay attention to signs explaining what was included.

Poly Pal, I agree with you on both points.

I even suggested to my dh that there should be a non DDP cashier there and in fact, EVERY CS should have a non DDP. If we waited in any line, it was the food lines listening to people trying to figure out their DDP. A few of us in MK actually changed lines because 2 couples started arguing among themselves about how to use their credits.

Our recent visit was all Poly pixie dust and magic for us, but then we love the place.
