We were in the 2nd mansion, I think it was called Oak Terrace? (Oak something) Room 9042. We paid extra for a view room & I don't think I would do that again. Don't get me wrong, the view was beautiful, but we spent more time at the parks than the hotel. The walk from the parking lot to the room was terrible when you're carrying luggage or tired kids. I think I would get a parking lot room next time. I'm sure there was a trick to it; maybe you could leave your bags at check-in & they would bring them to the room for you??
Anyway, we weren't too far from the lobby (out the hotel door, turn left, over a bridge, turn right, you're there) & not too far from the main pool (out the door, turn right, over the bridge & you're there). I was overall very pleased with the resort.
I personally didn't use their transportation except the first night we took the boat to Downtown Disney. I would have enjoyed this except we were freezing so we took the bus back. Once we figured out where the buses were we walked right onto one going to Port Orleans.
