I would love to share any information and answer any questions you might have. We went July 3rd-July 9th. We stayed at the Dolphin. I have a 6 year old girl and 8 year old boy. Ask away!

Seriously I was concerned about the crowds, but in all honesty it wasn't too bad. We spent the 4th at DHS. I am sorta of hooked. There were definitely a few things on the trip that I wasn't too happy about. The food choices were very very limited. Transportation to the parks was a pain in the butt, and we encountered quite a few rude and snotty CMs. That was quite shocking. One ran my daughter over with a big rolling trashcan then got all pissed because she was on the ground crying. One CM pushed through a group of people watching fireworks calling them all a**holes. We also had trouble with a CM being rude and nasty with my son who has autism.

We are staying at the Dolphin...I see buses were a pain, is there anything you can tell me to make it more smoothly?? Would it be better to walk over to the Swan & get on?? TIA

:scared1: WOW at the CM's!!! Did you happen to see any names on name tags of these people? If so, I would call or email Disney and complain! They should never act that way, especially using foul language.

The buses were a pain because they are so crowded and so slow. It seemed as if every bus trip took forever. We loved the friendship boats that take you to Epcot and DHS from the Dolphin.

without toontown..where was micky/minnie??? what does fantasyland look like..??

Swan does pick up first - but we have found buses go from the Swan, then the Dolphin and sometimes the YC/BC and BW.

Sorry to hear about the CM problem. I guess they are people too and may have worked at 10 hour shift at WDW and were cranky.
I would have noticed the CM name on their tag and report them to the ticket or service desk at the Park you were in.

Everyone should be polite, no matter what the situation is and be patient with others, A little kindness goes along way, so does a smile.:goodvibes

Mickey and Minnie are in the theatre as you enter Main Street on your right. Fantasy Land looks smaller with some construction walls up.

I'm considering a stay at the Dolphin Feb. 2012. What room requests would you suggest for 3 adults, 1 teen girl??

Tell us more about the "limited food choices."Were you on a dining plan? Was it children's or what that was limited?

Yeah not sure about OP's the "limited food" observation. Maybe it was because it was their first time. WDW has a ton of food choices - being at the dolphin you could take the boat to epcot daily for great food options.

As the OP travels more to WDW I think many of the complaints such as food and busses will get better. I think it is hard to call the service limited or poor when you have no other WDW vacation to compair it to.

I also think it is hard to give advice on a WDW vacation based on a first trip. I know even after a ton of research before our first trip years ago I was in no position to give any travel advice. WDW is just a huge place and it takes a few trip to really have a good bases for advice.

Please don't get me wrong the OP opinion is valuable and worth sharing I just think if you are looking for expert advice to plan your trip by someone doing research would be better served going on the advice of more seasoned WDW travelers. DIS is great because I have learned so much from other more seasoned travelers that I can now plan a perfect trip.
