We got back yesterday from Hilton Head.we had a wonderful time-it was nice and sunny and HOT, loved it!
We stayed in buildin 30-3012, a 1 bedroom-great condition except the bedroom fan squeaked so much I couldn't sleep with it on. No noise from our upstairs neighbors except one evening we heard a bit of thumping, but it wasn't late, and I have kids so I am so not used to silence, LOL didn't bother us a bit.
I was more worried about doing the laundry at night-I'm always afraid the people in the attached studio will be bothered by it, so I try not to do it too late.
I loved the location of builing 30-off the beaten path, but very close walk to the pool.
We did the Backyard BBQ-food was okay, nothing spectacular, but the fun and games were wonderful! The kids got their faces painted, had balloon animals made for them by B'Lou, made a pinwheel and a bracelet each. Great pool party. Lots of fun! I was happy to see that there were fireworks, I thought they started next week.
What else did we do besides hang around the pool???
Shopped at the oulets a couple of times-spend some $$$ there!
We made a family banner, that was fun-Julia did Little Murgie's Marsh Adventures, which she really liked-there was no Unbirthday Party this year except for Saturday--and we arrived Sunday and left Friday, so that was a little disappointing, but not a huge deal.
Did Shadow's Funny Bunny Hunt, which was cute-saw a puppet show(B'Lou and Crystal-very cute, Matt liked it alot-Julia was disappointed when she realized she missed it because she was at her Marsh Adventure)
Went on a Beach Nature Walk Thursday morning with Christopher, we learned alot, and had a great time! Julia collected a ton of shells, especially because some nice folks gave her the ones they found as well. That was one of my favorite things last week. Christopher was so knowledgable, friendly, a great guy.
We went to the campfire Sunday and Wednesday-is it me or does Crystal have more energy than anyone you have ever met?? LOL She's GREAT!!! ..except the 4 of us have been singing the "Boom chicka boom" song ever since Wednesday and I am going crazy trying to get it out of my head! LOL
We saw Shannon Tanner at Shelter Cove twice-I love him, the kids love him, bought the video and the CD-can't wait to see him again next year!!
Julia's favorite CM from last year was there, Sonya, and she was very sweet to Jules, Julia was thrilled!!! I got a couple pics of the 2 of them together..and when we left we stopped to say goodbye and Sonya gave her a postcard with Shadow on it and had written her a sweet little note-Julia put it right on her nightstand when we got home.
At the pool party Tuesday, Bonnie and Alisa were wonderful, brought Julia out of her shell and she was dancing the night away with them-Ross Kory, Greg, all wonderful with the kids. B'Lou-was wonderful, funny and kind-as usual.
We ate at HH Brewing Company, Guiseppe's, Scott's Fish Market, Aunt Chilada's, forgot about the DVC discount for Scott's and HHJ Brewing Co. Oh well. My favorite meal was Scott's Fish Market, great shrimp, love eating outside listening to music.
Played a little shuffleboard, a little ping pong, read 4 books, sat out on the porch alot, swam alot-we couldn't have asked for a better week.
Oh I was happy to see some more DVC and DVC HH merchandise in the shop--and finally a shirt that is plain navy blue with just a small emblem on the left chest-it was DH's birthday Monday and I got that for him.
If you have not been to HH-GO, the resort is beautiful. it smells wonderful(all those pine needles), and the cast members are the best in all of Disney, hands down!
I just reread my post and had to edit out some of the "greats" I wrote because there were so many-LOL!-but it's true-a great resort, a great vacation from start to finish! I'll be making my ressies for next June in a month!
