We just returned from a week long stay at the BWV. It was HOT and Crowded, but we still had a great time.
Just a warning...we were in a 2Bdrm Room #3075, the BWV's are building an airline checkin area and rooms on the 1st-5th floor, 075, 073, 071 and 069 overlook this construction area. There are approx. 10 construction workers pounding, drilling, sawing (electric) and banging materials all day from 8-5 ('til 6pm one night). So if you plan to come back to the room and take a nap (which we tried to do) it is impossible. For at least two days they were sawing rebar; loud, loud, loud!!! We had a standard view, but ended up with the construction view. Thank goodness we didn't have small children that needed a nap...just to old folks looking for a bit of shut eye while the two teenagers were at the parks.
Just wanted to give anyone planning on checking into the BWV's a heads up!
Remember...regardless, any day is a good day at Disney!!!:thumbsup2

Any idea when it's slated for completion? Also, how far from the elevators was your room? Just curious, we won't be there til January.

Thanks,

Diane

It was VERY close to the elevators, we loved that! I am not sure when the project will be completed. It could perhaps, be completed by January.

Thanks for the heads up. We are scheduled to arrive at BWV on Oct. 18, standard view 1 bedroom and really would love the *123 view. I've been offered the low number rooms several times and have always managed to change them.

We also just returned from the BWV 2 BR (rooms 4104 and 4106) and we overlooked the quiet pool and the canal. Had a fabulous view of the ToT, and one morning, there were hot air balloons flying ~ very nice. (I still do not believe these rooms should have the same point value as BW View rooms, but whatever. We were further away from the elevators, which was fine for us, we did not hear one bit of construction noise and we were super close to the Studios, my son and his friends loved that!

Thanks for the Heads up on the Construction! We're coming in Jan. and I really hope its finished or our room is far enough away! We're bring the 4 and 1 year old that will NEED a nap for sure!

Also, Does anyone happen to know Check - In / Out times for DVC resorts --- Are they the same as other Disney Resorts? We are staying at BWV half of our trip and BLT tower the other half ... I was just trying to figure out how I was going to work that with the little ones needing a nap!

Check in is after 4 pm and check out is 11 am. DVC resorts do not offer late check outs.

Hi TinkHappy,
Thanks for the update and the information. I am glad to hear you had a great trip. Boardwalk is one of my favorite resorts and you are so right about any day at Disney being a good day. :thumbsup2
