We're just back from 5 nights at BCV--did CP, MCVMCP, and Studios. We were in a studio--149--pretty room, very comfortable bed and sofa sleeper. I loved the location--walking to Epcot was wonderful. We also walked back from MGM--a bit of a hike, but we beat the boat. We didn't get to swim in SAB because it was too cold for us. We had a couple of "service issues": Check-in was a breeze--Thursday night at 8:30. We were unable to get a bellhop from 20 minutes. I went back in to bell services, to see if he could find one for us, and he said "there are at least 5 out there, go back out and find one" We finally located one, and were taken to the room. Sunday morning, at 10 I called valet for the car. We walked down the hall, did a quick tour of the open house, and then went to the front for the car. After about 10 minutes, my husband went to the front desk to ask where our car was. No one said anything. After 25 minutes of waiting for our car, I went over to the attendant and asked about our car. They had no recollection of our call, or our request. They did immediately send a valet--who ran the whole way. It took us over 45 minutes from when we called to get our car. It wasn't busy--while we waited, only about 6 cars used valet. The other issues were with housekeeping. We did not get our trash and towel day. At about 5 that pm, I called housekeeping, and they said since we checked in on 12/15, we weren't due for T & T. We actually checked in on12/12, and I was calling on 12/15. I asked them to bring new towels, and new bowls--the person I talked to said "new bowls?? what do you mean?? Anyway, we ended up with ceramic bowls--not the paper ones. Other than those issues and the cooler weather, it was a great trip.

Just one thought - aren't the bellmen and valet services shared with the BC hotel? I don't know if this would be a DVC issue or a something else.

These things just don't happen at other resorts but at WDW I' m affraid they are becoming more common place. At any rate I am glad you enjoyed yourself.

We're headed down to BCV after the New Year. Always stayed at the VWL and hadn't had any issues until this past October. The smoke alarm malfunctioned and woke us up at 4am. That was fun. We did get a free dinner on the lodge which was great (family of 5 eats lots and costs lots).

Hope yours was an isolated incident..... or hope I don't have the same issues....first time away from VWL......now I'm scared.....not really.

Oh one question. I heard getting coffee was tough in the morning. Is that true? I like to get a BIG cup first thing and the coffee makers in the room are just too small for me..... any info you can provide?

Thanks.............. Happy Holidays!

My coffee maker in room 206 (BCV) was a 12 cup pot. That should set you up for a good cup first thing in the morning. :teeth:

We're not coffee drinkers, but I know the pot is really large. They also had large pots of spiced cider in the lobby along with a harpist and other scheduled activities during the holiday. The CMs in the gift shop were very nice. Check out was easy--the bell hop got there within 5 minutes of our call, so I think it was a couple of isolated incidences. I look forward to staying there next trip--hopefully this one will be in a 1 bedroom--which look great, based on our tour. We got a BC Villas pin which is really cute, just by signing the log and having our membership # with us.
