My wife and I decided last Tuesday that we were going to get rooms in the park for the upcoming weekend. We had already planned to visit the park with her family on Friday who was staying at All Star Movies, but were just going to drive over that morning. Then we found out her sister had reservations at Chef Mickey's for 7:20 AM and decided we needed to get a room. We were arriving 48 hours from the time I called and almost everything was booked - our options were limited to $1100 for 3 nights at Saratoga Springs or $240 for 3 nights at All Star Music. We chose All Star Music.
I'm glad we did, you can't beat the room rate. The room was clean and my 7 year old daughter loved it. We had a standard room and the beds were small, as was the room. We were at Disney for 72 hours and spent about 24 hours in the room, 22 of those hours were spent sleeping so we only need a basic room.
The check-in took forever because people were in line to ask stupid questions and were not checking in or checking out. When we finally got to the front desk, they couldn't find the reservation. After 20 minutes of searching I finally asked if they could just book us another room and not worry about the reservation anymore and they did, but I had to pay full price instead of the cheaper rate.
We were in Broadway 8, if you are in either Broadway building and riding the buses - it is closer to the All Star Movies Bus pick-up/drop-off. On the way from the park to the hotel, we rode whichever bus had the shorter line.
There were washcloth and towel animals every morning, everything was clean, parking was close to the building, they had beer and pizza delivery until midnight, plus the food court until 11pm. The pool was nice, they were showing NATIONAL TREASURE on a giant screen out by the pool on Saturday night. There was a cool bar next to the pool where parents could have a drink while the kids night swam or watched the movie. Everything was way better than I expected when I booked the room at such a cheap rate.
We'll definitely book All Star Music again sometime.
