We returned last night after a wonderful week's stay at the BWV. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. The room numbers were 4003 and 4005. Those rooms have a boardwalk view and are located over the DVC sales center. A great view but a LONG walk from the elevator.
Let me saw that on the weekdends, these rooms are loud at night. We own a first floor condo in Rehobeth De. that is also right on the boardwalk. The noise is no conparison, the BWV's are LOUDER!!! Saturday night, we could hear people yelling until 2:00 AM. Lucky for us my daughter is a sound sleeper and did not wake up. For us it wasn't hard to fall back asleep.
Let me move to the bus service, or should I say, lack there of. The buses for the MK were few and far between. We would see two buses going to other places before one for the MK would show up. Since the BW is the last stop, sometimes the bus would show up full. No one could get on. That was the only bus service conplaint that I had all week. The other buses were always there.
For you people wondering about the walk to MGM from the BW, very easy. One day we were waiting for the boat, after 10 minutes myself and my father-in-law decided to walk. We grabbed my daughter, put her in the stroler and strarted walking. We arrived at MGM and waited 20 minutes for them. The walk only took about 10 minutes tops! A nice way to also walk off lunch or that big breakfast at Spoodles.
Over all the week was hot and sunny everyday with no rain. The lines were not that bad and when they were, fastpass worked great.
A great first trip to WDW for my daughter. She hugged her minnie mouse doll all the way home on the plane.

Finally another Dis'er from DE!! Glad to see you had a great time. We leave for a week at BWV June 13, hopefully bus service will improve by then.:D

Glad to hear that the overall trip was nice. Less than 2 days for us. Hoping the crowds are light and the weather in the mid 80's.

It sounds like it would be worth it to walk over to the Swan/Dolphin (very short walk) to catch the bus to MK in the morning. We always get off at the Swan because we don't want to ride to the other stops but I never thought of catching it there to make sure we would get on. Thank you for the warnings!

Perhaps bus service will improve with additional demand and the addition of the BCVs. Sorry to hear it was a problem.

I guess if you have an AP, then you could walk from BWV or BCV through Epcot and catch the monorail to MK? Doesn't sound too bad if you don't mind the walk.

Just another option.

I believe you could also walk to MGM's parking lot and catch a bus to either the TTC or MK. This would be much shorter then walking through EPCOT from BWV.

We sayed at the FAAAARRRR other end in the units overlooking the bus stop. It was actually quite nice since we would take the stairs down to the street and it was a short walk to the bus stop or the parking lot. The climb up the four flights was rather brutal, but we needed the exercise.

I know what you mean about those darned fickle bus drivers! When we were at the BWV stop and wanting to go to AK, all we saw were Magic Kingdom busses.

(Coming back from the AK, we almost saw some Disney Dads pummel five abusive, wise-guy cussing teenagers.)

Since Epcot opens at 10 am and MK at 9am - I don't see how you could take the cut throught Epcot to the monorail if you wanted to be at MK before 10am (really 10:30 probably)..I sure hope they improve the bus service to MK before our stay...

Master Grayson, yes it is nice to see another DVCer from De.

When we returned from the MK we got off the bus at the Swan. It was a short walk and well worth it.
You can walk through Epcot to the monorail in the morning. However, by the time you walk all the way through, wait for the monorail, get to the TTC, walk to the other side, wait for the other monorail, then travel to the MK, waiting another 20 minutes for a bus is the better option. We tried walking through and taking the monorail. Total time from room to the entrance of MK. Over 1 hour!
