Just Returned - Coronado Springs Resort

Thank you for all the info on CSR, we are thinking about a trip in May or June 2008 and this is one resort we are looking at. Last yearw e stayed at CBR and I was NOT that impressed. We also stayed at POP and ASMo, of which I liked alot more then CBR. My kids were very very impressed witht he pic of csr so far and Hubby was impressed with the fishing and hot tub.
Great choice! Check out my website below for pics and info.

I also just returned yesterday. We had requested rooms in the Cabanas and were disappointed to discover on check-in that we were not only assigned to the Ranchos, but the most inconvenient one of the lot. It was the furthest away in Ranchos 7A far from everything except bus stop #3. My only complaint was the room location, certainly not the resort or the room itself. All was clean and tidy and mousekeeping kept it that way with no problem.

The fact that this is also a convention hotel didn't impact us one bit. It still had that Disney feel and I can't say that I ever saw a single "suit". If they were there, they kept to themselves.

We ate breakfasts in the Pepper Market and although I found the choices to be somewhat limited, the prices were very reasonable. We found that to be the case in all the food venues at Disney - a pleasant surprize to be sure. Keep in mind, we didn't do any character meals because my grandkids weren't interested in them.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone.

We are trying to decide between CSR and SSR.

Is there a hot tub at any of the quiet pools? Did you hear complaints of the hot tub at the dig site being "lukewarm"?

Dh loves to sit in hot tubs (not me) and I've read several reviews where the hot tub was not hot. If there is more than one I'm thinking there would be another one for him to choose in case one is broken.

I was wondering if anyone who stayed at CSR ever used the room service, especially a.m.? I've read how slow the PM is in the a.m. and we would want to get out fast. At ASMo we were in and out in less than thirty minutes at the food court.

I had another question but can't remember!

Thank You

P.S. Glad you had such a lovely visit. We felt the same way coming home from Asmo, it was great. Having a good time is as much as a state of mind as it is the physical environment.

Last week the last thing I was looking for was a "hot" tub. It was over 90 most days. My 18 year old granddaughter said it was toasty but I didn't try it myself so take that anyway you'd like.

I don't know where you heard the PM was slow. It certainly wasn't when we were there. Once we were seated and got our beverage order, we pretty much dictated how fast we were ourselves. Usually we were in and out within 45 mintes and that was with 3 indecisive kids.

DH loves a hot tub no matter time of year or where we are. I am not crazy about them! It's a must for him at night. I've read alot of reviews on Dis here how PM is slow only in the way that you wait in line to be seated, to get food and to pay. It actually seems to be common complaint but maybe it's a matter of perspective. 45 mins is reasonable to me.

Hi Beth,

Welcome back! Thanks for sharing your review. Being in the ranchos gives you an excuse to try CSR again.

Thanks Buzz. This wasn't our first CSR stay, last time we were in the Casitas. Another stay in the Cabanas and I'll have the place covered. :rotfl:
