....it was a wonderful trip, again! I grow so weary with all the bad CM, horrible experience, awful guests, and on and on threads that I want to make my happy thread.

We were at POFQ July 3-12 in a garden view room. Lucked out and got our requests in the exact location we wanted. Room was ready and was in very good condition and clean. We were on the QSDP but did do some OOP table service meals.

BTGs are out in force. However, I will say that WDW's addition of the Super Greeters have helped in toning the groups done a lot! We noticed that each time the groups began to get a little crazy, the Greeters shut it down quickly. Now, I will also say that this only happens when a Greeter is with them. When the groups split up, I still could see some of the old behaviors.

CMs: not a single grumpy, out of sorts CM the entire trip. Of course, I have rarely, rarely had a "bad" CM, so maybe I'm not the one to report about that.

Weather: a mixed bag of really hot and humid and pleasant. We're from Georgia, so we are used to it.

Other guests: just a couple of SCREAMING kids who would have benefited from swift action of their parents. It was obvious, through observation, that those few kids rule the roost in their homes. (And...no, not special needs kids just ridiculously spoiled. I'm a teacher; I know the difference.)

I'm sad to be home because now we have a year to wait to return. This will be so different for us because we usually go a few times a year. It will be a long wait.

Great report! Thanks for sharing.
BTW, I'm assuming by your handle you are a fellow Bulldog fan. Go Dawgs!!!

Love your happy report! I'm like you - tired of hearing all the grumbling and bad experiences. It's no fun to let a couple bad moments ruin your memories of a whole trip. Personally, I like to shrug those off and go on with my happy family. Then again, I've never really noticed any grumpy CM's or had anything really awful happen.

Glad you had a great trip! :goodvibes

What is a super greeter?

Super Greeters are Brazilian guides that WDW has hired to help handle the groups. They are young (like CPs) and Brazilian. The Greeters are essentially liaisons between the groups and the rest of the visitors/cast members. It has helped tremendously in some areas.

Ok thanks. I'd not heard of them before.

Me neither, but it sounds like WDW have been very proactive in this case. +1 for them.

Wow, this could be a great thing to commend Disney for. If anyone has some time, send an e-mail to them, keep up the good work Disney! If they are being proactive or reacting to complaints, then they should know that people are noticing. I'm going to send them a note this week for sure.

So glad to hear you had such a fantastic time. I agree that we have rarely encountered a CM who was less than fantastic in all our trips. I think when you go looking for things to complain about, you will find things to complain about.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the positive post - like the other PPs - I've grown tired of the constant complaining about CMs, guest behavior, costs, etc. :confused3 I know BEFORE I go what it will cost and there is always the possibility you'll run into folks who are short on Pixie Dust - BUT - WDW is still the most magical vacation I know of - and unless its a major life changing problem - I'm always happy to be there - :dance3: Glad your trip was a good one:)

So are they hiring these for US groups. I have seen some that are much, much ruder then the Brazilian groups I have seen, but there seems to be an "amnesty" if you are not Brazilain. :rotfl2:

Great to hear you had a wonderful trip. I have not herd of the Super Greeters. But am glad they implemented that system. While we have not ran into the BTG at Disney, we ran into them in Seaworld and I have to say I was quite PO'd at times with them.
