We just returned from seven magical days at WDW (myself, DW and DD(3)). As others have mentioned, the weather was absolutely perfect during that time except for one morning when there were off and on downpours.

My DW and I will be posting various reviews over the next week or so to:

Trip Reports
Resorts (stayed at the Swan)
Restaurants
Tips

We really had a wonderful time and can't wait to help others answer any questions they have. Hopefully our experiences will assist others in having a great time.

In the meantime, here are a few quick tips:

* If you have little ones, and they can get up early, absolutley get to the parks before opening. It's astounding how many rides one can go on between 9 - 10:30 with no crowds. We are lucky that our DD is a morning girl.

* If you have kids, and you aren't sure how they will handle the dark, get one of those spinning, glowing toys as a gift and let them know that if they can use it during the ride. This REALLY helped our DD during Haunted Mansion.

* The Mickey Ice Cream Bars have to be one of the best bargains in the park. At $2.50, they both hit the spot and are cost affordable.

* It's amazing how even a 3 year old can grasp the concept (and enjoy) pin trading. She really took to it and got a lot of attention from the CMs.

Lots more info will follow in various boards over the next week or so.

If there are any specific questions, please let us know!

Glad you had a great time!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I have never meet a Mickey Bar I didn't like. :)

Did you see the 75 Mickey's? How were they?

and if you are on a budget, buy the glow jewlery and bring it with you.

Hi CD, thanks for the tips! I have a question for you. Your DD is 3, and she went on Haunted Mansion. How did she handle it? My DD will turn 3 in two weeks while we're at WDW. HM is one of the rides I just figured we'd skip, not because of any particular reason other than the fact that I thought that 3 would be too little. Did your DD like the ride? Was she frightened? I think that the spinny-light thing is a great idea! DH and I have a joke going about how many of those we'll actually end up with due to all of the different characters and colors available!

Thanks for your help!

* Pooh67_68: We were able to see the 75 Mickeys and they are quite a sight. Our DD had one of those Princess disposable cameras from Target and she loved taking pictures of them. They are fun to look at and they nice thing is that some of them are even before the entrance so you don't have to go in the park to see some.

* mrsltg: As an FYI, our DD was an old 3 (she turns 4 in January) and she handled it ok. It wasn't her favorite ride, and she covered her eyes a couple of times, but she also didn't cry or scream or get scared. She really liked the hitch hiking ghosts at the end. She had watched the planning video a couple of times and had a vague idea of what it was about and also we had a game where we would say "Go back, skeletons" when they would pop out. That way she wasn't scared of them. It's almost like this year we were laying the ground work for some future years so that she can enjoy it more.

Thank you! We'll see when we get there, but I think we may skip it this trip. She's already not particularly crazy about the dark!

Thanks again!
