Just received our Family Portraits taken by Disney

We have never had a family portrait done and this trip to Disney, we decided to let them do it!! We are a family of four and they took about 40 shots in about an hour. We made an appointment about 6 weeks in advance, and had our choice of any park or resort except MGM. We choose Wilderness Lodge.

The pictures are a combination of all four of us, DH and I together, DSs together and seperate. They were taken just outside the main lobby on the small porch, in the atrium of the villas by the Christmas tree, and out side by the waterfall.

The pictures were online in about 10 days and we were very surprised that FedEx delivered the photos at home today. We thought the photos online were good, but when we saw the real thing, they are great!!!!

Our fee included the sitting fee, a tri fold portfolio with 12 photos, and about 22 additional proofs all of high quality and 5x5. We also received a 10% discount for being DVC members.

Here are a few reprint prices.....

4x5 $12
5x7 $20
8x10 $30

They also have packages and one I thought was reasonable, especially looking at a la carte prices includes:

2 8x10
8 wallets
2 5x7
$75

Packages run from $75 to $325.

We had our family portrait done at OKW on 1/3. I am anxiously checking the website every day hoping they get them posted earlier than 10 days! I can't wait to see them. I'm so glad to hear you are pleased with yours.

dbond.....ours were taken on December 24 and posted by January 4th. You will be so surprised at how nice the "real thing" is! We were told they would come in the mail in 4 weeks, but here very early!

Is there a "sitting" fee or any other fee for this, besides the package price? Thought this would be a great idea for our family.

The sitting fee is $275 for an hour of time with photog. He'll take a lot of photos, about 48 for us. DVC members get a 10% discount. DC members may get the same discount also, I don't remember.
