Just received new pin for Jan-Apr/may-june

I just received my new pin # covering the dates from January through April and then May through June. They were offering the following:

40% off a deluxe villa
35% off a deluxe
30% off a moderate
25% off a value

Luckily I had already booked a trip for January and received 40% off a stay at the poly. First time at a Deluxe.

When you get a pin like that does that mean you can arrive on the 5th and then have the code count for your entire stay (like free dining)? Or does it mean that if you arrived on the 5th the discount would only be on the 5th and then starting the 6th the price would go back to normal?

Good question...my guess is that you get the discount for the days that apply to the promo and then the rates go back to regular...I think I had the same question for a CM a couple of years ago...but maybe they changed it! I would be interested to know!!!!

BTW- I got that PIN yesterday via email! It's a good offer, I'm just not sure I like the dates!! LOL

I was told that the discounts only apply to the dates listed. If you travel on 6-3 for instance and stay a week you would get the discount for 6-3,4,and 5, but would have to pay regular price for the rest of your stay. I would reconfirm with a CM to make sure.

If you check -in anytime, including the last day of an offer, it applies to the whole stay. But you can't check in, say 4-28, for a week & get the discount starting 5-1.

I am getting SO frustrated. I usually ALWAYS get pins. Then I ordered a vacation planning DVD and said I was interested in May and now pins are nowhere to be seen!

We got this PIN on ONE of 5 accounts that I have signed up to recieve Disney Destinations e-mails.

Unfortunately, we're going next SEPTEMBER.

We just booked through a local travel agent. We were told that if a discount comes along we can take it off our bill. Would the same apply if we received a pin?

Called and spoke to a CM that said it applied for the entire stay... Then started making the reservation and after they quoted me the amount I told them it sounded like it only applied for that one night. I was then put on hold so they could ask someone else.... They came back and said it was only for that one night.

I want a PIN sooo bad. I just ordered a vacation DVD and signed up for the disney credit card yesterday hoping that will increase my changes for me.

Yes, your TA can apply your PIN code to an existing reservation.

For the room % off discounts, they are generally only for the nights listed. Other nights will price at regular rates. FD goes by your check in date and will be valid for your entire stay, at least it does right now and has in the past. Disney fiddles with their promotions for what is and isn't included all the time.

I read them carefully to make sure but don't ever see any info on a pin. I have never received a pin and just don't know what it will look like if I do and hope its not hidden somewhere in these emails I get!

When I booked my trip my TA checked the pins I had received. They expired on 12-31-2010. Our trip begins on Jan 16. She was able to get us the 40% discount on a deluxe even without the pin. However I have received three different pins since I booked my trip 6 weeks ago and each time I get one I call her and she checks to make sure my present deal is still the best.

As far as the question about which email contains the pins. The ones I usually receive have a title that says "Disney has a great vacation offer for you" or something similiar.
