Just Received AKV Founding Member Gift - Framed

FedEx just delivered this framed item with beads and stuff in it. At the bottom has the words that we originally sent in. Is this what they had promised all along? I thought there will be something in the lobby.

Thanks. I have to say that though it was very nice to get such a nicely framed artwork, the look does not really appeal to me. I guess it probably has something to do with Africa.

It is a gift for people who were the first to purchase AKV. The Founders get a small gift for home and their name on a hanging tapestry that will be displayed at Kidani Village.

I recieved mine today - I had no idea why Fed Ex was showing up with a big b ox from DVC for my husband, and it's that time of year where he's pretty touchy about me *seeing* deliveries, much less opening them! He's out of town, but answered my IM and said to open it - what a pleasant surprise!

I knew if I checked the board, I'd figure out what it was, but since he answered his IM, I *just* got around to seeing if there was a thread.

I think it's really cool - I'm trying to figure out where we can display it, but it doesn't really go in any of our current decor. The one complaint I have is that it's mounted off-center in the mat, so I'm constantly tempted to try to tap it in place! It doesn't detract from the beauty, and I'm sure I can get used to it.

Last year, 15-year anniversary prints, this year a framed collar... I wonder if I managed to talk DH into more points at BLT if we'd get something cool next year too!

Great they finally send it out and I just moved at the end of the month and haven't updated my new address on my DVC account yet. Good thing I still live in the area. I'll have to stop by my old address to see if they tried delivering it there. Anyone in the New England area get theirs yet?

I received the Fed Ex notice yesterday, but was not at home to receive the package. I received it just about an hour ago today. I was wondering what it could be, thought it might be magical express tags, but was glad to see that it was the AKV founding member gift.
