Just Received AKV Founding Member Gift - Framed

No tapestry? Really?

First I've heard about it.

I thought something was up when we got the framed necklaces. We were supposed to get mini-versions of the big tapestry from what I remember.

According to Allears it seems like our info will still be hanging in the lobby but instead of on a tapestry it will be in the 'Founding Member ceremonial robes'.

I'm sure it will still be ok and look nice, but it seems to reinforce the idea that DVC keeps their own members out of the loop (if this is the case, maybe a nice letter in the Fed-Ex box with the necklaces would be proper?) and that anything they say when pitching their product can be changed.

This hasn't been stated as fact yet, but Allears isn't one of the sites I'd put as spreading rumors and the link I posted they stated they got this information from DVC. It doesn't say there WON'T be a tapestry, btw. But I doubt there would be both a tapestry and FMCRs with people's names on them in the lobby.

I actually like the new ceremonial robes, but it would have been nice to have been notified about the change.

As long as they put our name on something and hang it in a reasonable location that we can visit, Im happy.

We recieved ours and really like it. The best part is the frame. It's smooth and wavey.

Yes, but we weren't sure if they would actually use it or not. We do consider our trips to WDW to be therapy.

I think that was the first deal (first 1000 to purchase x number of points), but there was a misprint or it was unclear in some of the flyers or something then they changed it to everyone who purchased 150 points in Feb of 2007.

That is correct. It was to be the first 1000 then it turned into anyone who purchased 150 or more points from Feb 1st to Feb 28th.

I think that I'm wrong. 1000 for BLT and something like Feb 1st-15th for AKV. Then they extended it to Feb 28th due to a misprint on a mailing.

We had to ship ours back as it was twisted and off-center. We were told on the phone that ours will be repaired if they could or we'd be put back in line when they get another shipment in that they've been waiting for so I'm guessing there is more than a few that are still coming that they have yet to receive.

We're founding members - bought the day it became available for purchase 150 points and we haven't received a thing or a notice about no tapestry either.

Also haven't recieved mine yet. Or my OKW thingy for extending either. I think I am going to call my guide again about this. Called him about a month ago but he wasn't there. Anyone know if that's who to call or is there another department to call about this?
