I just found out that I need to get an endoscopic ultrasound. I have been an IBS sufferer for almost 10 years and today my doc called with some blood test results and he thinks I have an irriation on my pancreas. All this 6 days before we leave...I'm very upset and confused. Anyone have this test done? I am trying to not let this ruin my excitement about our trip but its hard not to...I need some major pixie dust :sad2:

I have never had this, but wanted to send you warm wishes and bunches of pixie dustpixiedust: pixiedust: Try and enjoy your trip, there will be time to deal with this after a wonderful Disney trip.

I have had one of those. I think mine was made worse by a comment the technician made and the fact I didn't tell anyone what was going on. I think Disney is an excellent distraction.....afterall nothing can make you happier. *huge hug*

 pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: (flinging pixie dust with wild abandon) Here's hoping everything turns out well.

Sending you hugs, happy thoughts, and pixie dust. Have a wonderful trip !!!!pixiedust: pixiedust: I am sure you will be just fine. :goodvibes

:grouphug: More pixie dust and hugs from me too. I'm sure you are freaking out a bit but knowing that you have the vacation coming ... well, I hope that helps a little.

Keep us posted, eh? I know that I don't know you but I feel like I do since I recognize your DISname. So I truly hope that all turns out well.

Sending prayers and pixie dust. I hope everything turns out well and you have a great vacation.

Thanks guys! Now that I had a chance to sleep on the info I definitly am going to just enjoy my trip and deal with 'real life' stuff when I get back. Just writing that post made me feel better but reading the posts from my DISer friends made me feel a whole lot better and put me back on track to getting excited for my trip. Only 5 more days to go :yay:

I will definitly keep you all posted...and I may do a trip report for my trip so look out for that.

I've had an endoscopy, which I'm not sure is the same thing, but I was put to sleep for the procedure and don't remember much, except that they sprayed my throat with anaesthetic (sp?) and then put something in my IV...

I have GERD, and they were checking whether there was any damage. Incidentally, they found separately that I needed to have my gallbladder removed.

Good luck! Just try to enjoy your vacation. A week's worth of fun and relaxation is bound to help more than harm. We'll all be thinking of you!

Enjoy your trip. :goodvibes

Just look on the bright side...the test may lead to some options that will help your condition overall. So have a great time on your trip and look forward to feeling better soon. :goodvibes

Never had one but wishing all the magic and pixie dust I can muster for a happy and healthy trip

Not suggesting that this will help or even compare to your situation but I hope you'll have a similar experience. I went to WDW last year after having cancer surgery. Not the big C sugery but enough to slow me down for awhile. Flew down alone and met DS for a few days of fun in the park. Throughout the week DS had to keep reminding me that I just had surgery and that I really shouldn't be doing some things like TT,RnR. Pish posh! When the WDW magic took over all was forgotten and it felt great.

Sending love and best wishes! Tell us all how both the trip and the tests work out!

Erica - I hope it works out well for you - have a wonderful trip & enjoy AKL, take plenty of pics so we can see!!

Hope you're feeling well! Just noticed you have 4 days to go before your trip! Enjoy, the weather sounds great for WDW & the AKL is beautiful :banana:pixiedust:

I've never had an endoscopic ultrasound done, but don't let it get you down, just think we're you'll be just under a week later than it!

I have however had to get an abdominal ultrasound done as I've suffered symptoms similar to IBS for about 5 years now but my doc isn't quite sure to rule it out as IBS. Nice to know I'm not the only one.
