Just over five weeks to go....

All that excitement but it's still a bloody long way away - which is the annoying part.

Despite only being 45 minutes away from London Gatwick we've booked into a hotel near the airport just so we can get an extra hour's sleep; silly how that may seem.

Each day of the twelve we have made plans which includes every theme park possible - and we will be trying to go on every ride and see all the shows suited for us.

What would you say are most definite musts? and What would you say are not worth the effort?

I would say definate musts are all the Disney parks and the evening shows. I would say Busch Gardens is properly the park I found was not worth visiting especially if you don't have much time. I also found that river country water park was also a let down. We loved Blizzard Beach though. The outlet Beltz is a must for shopping bargains. For eating Tony Rommas ( not sure how you spell it) that specialise in Ribs is a must their food is very good.

As Claire mentioned ~ River Country has been closed since 2001.

The outlet Beltz is a must for shopping bargains.

Beltz has recently undergone a change with a new name as well as new shops.

Why do you not rate the EPCOT?

We plan to get there on the first Monday. I've been there many years back and loved it, basically it will be our first full day there and we just plan to take it easily.

I'm actually looking forward to Test Drive, Mission Space and the World Showcase. It's my wife's first visit and I'm hoping she will enjoy the later especially.

Virgin Airlines on the Sunday 3rd.

My wife and I thought of staying at the Hilton, but for that amount of cash for night we decided look elsewhere and found a very nice hotel for a third of the price just a couple of miles from Gatwick.

We are flying virgin too. I thought id found someone that was maybe on the same flight but 2 days out.

Epcot is still as brilliant as ever. World Showcase is a lovely place to spend a few hours wandering around and IllumiNations: Reflections of earth is a great way to end the evening. Soarin' is also a great ride and has some fab scenery for California.

Magic Kingdom
MGM
Epcot
Animal Kingdom
Seaworld
Universal
If you like big rides Islands of Adventure.
Kennedy space center.
One of the two Disney water parks.

I didnt like Bush gardens too far to go and not worth it imho.

And for the ladies
Go shopping!

Why do you not rate the EPCOT? I'm actually looking forward to Test Drive, Mission Space and the World Showcase. It's my wife's first visit and I'm hoping she will enjoy the later especially.

Test Track - OK.
Mission:Space - OK.
The Land - dull area, slow boat ride. Time for a snooze.
The Living Seas - A fake lift leading to an aquarium. Go to Sea World instead.
Universe of Energy - They ought to give you a pillow it's that long and boring.
Honey I shrunk the Audience - Midly amusing
World Showcase? Have a look at the description of each area. It's just a lot of shops & cafes around a big lake.

A visit to Epcot for us is either tagged onto the end of a day or the start of another before going somewhere more interesting. For me Epcot is about as interesting as watching paint dry. I know that others think that Epcot is the bees knees, I think it's an over-priced, over-rated shopping area.

So that's why I personally don't rate Epcot, I like the others, just not this one.

Oh this is a hard one. I love all the parks! We enjoy the evenings in the parks. Watching Spectro and Wishes at MK, Enjoying Fantasmic at MGM and Strolling around World Showcase at Epcot enjoying a glass of wine and taking in the entertainment. To think of things that are not worth the effort is really hard I will have a think about this one ........................
