Just out of interest.......

I dream of a DLP that has outstanding cast members and curtious guests. A park where it is clean, with no rubblish (like Disney used to). A park with firework dispalys throughout the year, and more streetmousphere. A park where the shops carry the theme further and craftsman carve, and weave, and barber shop quartets sing in the Barber Shop (all like in 1992).

I would love Indy EMV and Splash to arrive here.

In our studios, I would love for a themed table service restaurant to appear, as well as some family dark rides.

I would like to see more variety in the Village, and a greeness come through.

I would like an indoor waterpark to arrive too.

For clones to come to the resort, I would love Soarin', Indy EMV, Muppetvision 3D and Splash. An Animal Kingdom/Epcot type experience would be great too.

and I would like Disney accommodation to offer value for money again.

more wonderful ideas,
i would love to see a better gallery and somewhere you can have drawing doen for you like at wdw, i had a lovely tigger drawn for me by a disney artist, and altho some ppl may think why spend money on that when i could draw one myself, its not the same, i teasure my tigger drawing and it my fav souvenir and would love one done at dlp.

What is Indy EMV??

I was being lazy, sorry. EMV = Enhanced Motion Vehicle like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (DL - Ca), Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull (TDS - TDL) and Dinosaur (DAK - WDW)

I wish they would too :thumbsup2 I'd like to stay here as the pool looks amazing but DH likes to leave the car at home and have a drink when we go to DLRP.

Well, you may get your wish :wizard: as it is rumoured Soarin' is coming in the next couple of years!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'd also wish for Soarin' and Splash Mountain (they could always reduce the water level in the colder months ;) or have a lesser drop like POTC )

Where did you hear this?i love hearing all these rumours of how dlp might improve/expand.

I think it would be good to have a waterpark with different sections like the parks do with different theming and for different age groups~finding nemo,POTC, little marmaid theming etc would be great.

Oh, I see :)
I just love that Indy-ride... love love love...
And then you see it with the lights on, and you get another point of view :rotfl:

I would like at least one real good restaurant at the Studios. Disneyland Park and the hotels have wonderful restaurants, but to my feeling, the Studios don't. I hope that somehow, they incorporated a restaurant in the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Wouldn't it be nice to dine in a 30's-setting? Like in teh good old times?

I would also "revamp" Studio 1 a little bit, so that it gets a more "boulevard-like" feeling. Not just one CS restaurant, but all different places with different foods and maybe a bar, and open it up in the evening. They could use the mezzanine too for this. That way, you can "go out" in Hollywood, without the cold/ rainy Paris weather!

I would also like a Soarin, but not the "over california" one, an over Europe one or so, something exclusive for DLP. Splash Mountain would be nice. However, I would also change the story. A Splash-ride, but not about Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox, because then it'd be just another copy. Disney has so many movies, one should be appropriate... What about Fantasia (2000)? Than the last big drop could be related to mickey almost drowning or so... and many of the clips in those two movies include water... the whales, the fairies dancing on the water, ...

I'd love to have the California Indiana Jones ride. I think that's the greatest ride-system ever. It doesn't have to be Indy, but at least something that shows how much you can do with the ride, an aspect that got lost in the Dinosaur-version at AK. I think the point where you cross the bridge, pass the skull, over the lava is THE moment of the ride, together with teh three doors you can go through (just one track,it's the room that moves) and the boulder in the end (also the walls that move apparantly...).
If they ever bring this ride system to DLP, I hope they keep the "grandeur" of the skull/ bridge-room, whatever movie they use it for.

As someone mentioned: more specific merchandise. I kow not everyone collects Disney. Not everyone is theer 4 days a month :rolleyes2: However... I am a collectioner, and I spend quite some time at the parks. And I can't buy anything anymore, because I have about everything they sell. I know, poor little rich girl.
That's not what I mean ;)
About everywhere in the aprk, they sell the same stuff. WHy not have specific shops and specific merchandise. Don't sell the same tableware at Lilly's and Harrington's. Keep the "cheap" (Disney-cheap that is, still expensive, though, but cheaper than the more expensive stuff) at Lilly's and sell the more exclusive ones (the best of mickey collection, for example) only at Harrington's. Keep Harringotn's an "exclusive" place, for real collectibles, for print-on-demand as in the Disney gallery at California, ...
Oh, I would love to have some of those ride-posters they have at Main Street station... Print-on-demand reduces the stock you have to keep.

Make the bookshop a real bookshop again. Now they sell about everything except books...
A place where you can buy all CD's/ DVDs would be nice too. And in other languages than just French. I know that they can't stock up on each DVD/ CD in each language. However... DVDs have multiple languages on them, so if they think about it intelligently, they could come up with two or three versions that cover all languages, and this would allow them to serve everyone in their language. CDs could also be a "burn-on-demand" service. You go to a computer, select a CD (soundtrack or whatever) in the language that you want, pay, burn, and get your CD. This could even allow you to make a sampler CD, with just those songs you like!
What about a "watch-shop", as in WDW or DL, where you can buy those hand-drawn watches-with-sketch-in-a-frame, or LE watches or just nice watches and jewelry in general?
There is already a store that sells only clothes, woohoo!
Exclusive merchandise, only available at the lands/ hotels they were designed for (POTC and Frontierland already have this a little bit).

A place where you can buy the Villeroy & Boch tableware that has been designed for the Disney-restaurants. Oh, last time I was once again so tempted to borrow a little plate from Walt's for... oh... just 50 years or so... I wish we could buy the tableware, I love the ones used at Walt's, Cendrillon, ...

At the Studios, make the ANimation gallery a real gallery, with lots of beautiful animation products. I once bought some wonderful books here, they are still in print, but not sold anymore... too bad...
At Toontown Studios, make a Toontown Store and restaurant. Who wouldn't love to eat at mickey's diner? And shop at mickey's grocery store?

Oh, so many ideas... if only I were an Imagineer...

You should definitely be an imagineer!!!! You really love Disney and have an eye for ways to improve it! I wonder what you would have to do to become an Imagineer?? Can you imagine having a job like that? Heaven! :cloud9:

I haven't read the other replies in this thread yet, so excuse me if this has been mentioned before - the Disney train ride round the park, imo, could be much better themed. Although you do see a lot of the park whilst on the train, theres also a lot of unlandscaped area which you see, and I just think there could be more thought and imagination used alongside the train route.

Its one job i'd love to have, since posting this thread i've had loads of ideas have been buzzing around my head.i have them all pictured out lol i have a project coming up for my course and i may use dlp as my case study ~would be fun to draw up plans or my idea etc
